Boost Plus Rich Chocolate 8oz Brikpaks 27/Case

Well, there really isn't a cure yet, but Boost Plus helped my son go into (and stay in) remission from his Crohn's Disease. In Europe, and many parts of the world, Crohn's isn't treated with drugs as much as in the USA. Other countries prescribe "nutrition therapy," whereby solid foods are eliminated and a liquid sludge is mechanically pumped into the stomach via a nasal feeding tube. The sludge has all of the nutrients required by a person, including proteins and vitamins, etc. Unfortunately, the sludge is not palatable and many people report that they cannot stand the taste.Hence, we tried a Boost Plus liquid regiment. Our son drank 7 of these per day for a couple of months, and the drugs were all eventually eliminated. We now continue the mostly-Boost diet, and only have added some safe foods for a rescue from the monotonous repetition of the liquid diet. The Boost has led to an accelerated growth rate (getting close to normal), and has allowed for healing of the GI track due to being gentle on the system. Our son also likes the taste better than alternative formulas (hence we buy these bulk Brikpaks).We, of course, worked with our doctor and GI specialist, and have been on this plan for about six months now. If you or a family member are suffering from Crohn's or a similar GI condition, this therapy should be a consideration, as it is easy and effective.I am not a doctor, so please do not consider this to be medical advice. I am simply a cautiously optimistic parent whose son is thankfully in remission from a nasty disease. RR*** 2017 Update ***After a year on the "mostly-Boost" regiment, our son did start to get some relapses of his Crohn's conditions (after trying to drop the percentage to 50% Boost). We now administer a bi-weekly immuno-suppressant but we continue the partial Boost diet for helping to keep his growth maximized. We are still happy we tried the all-Boost diet, but it became impractical after a while to keep him on an 80 to 100% diet.

husband us not able to eat after bone marrow transplant. Milk product make him nauseous. This product doesn't. He likes the taste and was very surprised when he tried it. We also use the Boost Breeze clear berry and orange. They go well adding to juice. My husband mixes the Berry with cranberry juice and can not tell. He. also mixes the orange with Orange Hi C. This makes them less sweet. The peach flavor is very sweet and does not mix well with other flavors. Only buy it if you really love peach flavored stuff. The juice box style is very easy to travel with as well. Same ounces as bottles too.

I got these to easier sustain my weight while keeping time in mind. For work, these are perfect for keeping me going without slowing me down. I have one in the morning with cereal unless im in a hurry in which case I can still knock one of these back. These are great if you have to skip meals because of a job too. Having one of these on hand has been a life saver many time and they only come out to around 1:30 each which is way less than what you'd pay for a burger with bad fat and calories. It taste like a chocolate shake too!

I purchased Boost Plus due to chronic illnesses and severe eating problems. I can't eat much at all but need calories, so this is a good way to do it. I am not crazy about the ingredients w/the first four being water, corn syrup, sugar and vegetable oil (not exactly a health drink), but there is not much out there to chose from and it does give me lots of calories. The chocolate tastes the best to me, although the vanilla is okay if mixed in a smoothie.The shipping was very quick--it came 5 days earlier than predicted by Fed Ex--good thing I was home. I did a lot of price comparisons, and this was a good one. Unfortunately, Boost and Ensure keep getting more expensive. I gave it an extra star (more than it probably deserves) because it was a comparably good price, had quick shipping and tastes better than Ensure, not because it was healthy. It's all relative, my friends.So if you need to gain weight, this can help.

I have ordered Boost Plus online from Amazon for my mother for almost 2 years. The product is excellent and is recommended by her doctor. She only drinks liquids now and loves the chocolate Boost Plus which gives her nutrition. I have not been able to find anyone else who can beat the price of Amazon. The difference in companies is the packaging of the product. I order 2-4 cases at a time. All companies pack 2 cases in one box so the boxes are heavy. Sometimes the boxes come all torn up due to being flimsy. This company packed them in sturdy boxes. I always get the product in the time frame promised.

My very fussy husband likes the taste of these chocolate ones, & they are cheaper that the Ensures. He gets busy with his projects and forgets to eat a lot (wish I had that problem!) so these are something he can grab and drink on the go. I also like that they come in these cardboard packs, as I try to avoid plastic as much as possible.

I am addicted to these things... too bad on the price though. i bought these because my mom ordered them for me a while back after i got my wisdom teeth taken out and i could eat much. i loved them so much i thought it would be nice to have a stock of them in my dorm room. the package came in right on time and i am glad to have them in my pantry for days when i have to rush out to work at 4am. i didn't find out until after i opened the package that i could have gotten them much cheaper though... my mom laughed at me when i told her how much i paid for the pack. apparently she bought the same pack elsewhere for $10.

Look at the way these came ... I have to straighten them out! I don’t even know if they’re going to taste like because looks like they’ve been in some ways back office or store room for a while Forgot for sure I will upgrade this when I get that information
