Great for my needs
I got these because I do nails and there are fake plastic agate slices on the market being sold as polish palettes. The problem with the plastic ones is the acetone remover when finished with the polish, ruins them. So I need REAL agate slices, acetone does not harm these and the gold edges on this set are a great aesthetic touch that seem sturdy and are not going to flake off. In short, these are quality slices and not cheaply made.If you are using them for drink coasters I will say that of the set of 4 I received...3 are of a uniform size, except for 1 that was moderately smaller in size. So if I had wanted them as a drink coaster set, these weren't really a matching set. But that could have just been my set. They don't have a backing on them to keep them stationary. But for my needs these are absolutely amazing, gorgeous and gemmy natural agate. Worth the price in my opinion, I am very happy with them.

Expensive, but high quality and decorative
These coasters are on the expensive side but are very nice quality. They look very rich and dressy. They have a slight rim to the edge which is good so that glasses do not slide off. That is a danger with a slippery coaster. The edge did catch my coffee mug but did not catch on another glass. So, you need to be careful that your glasses do not slide off. They are very durable and stable, but slippery. All and all, very nice looking, but expensive.
