Is it actually ridged?** A: No its completely flat heats up really quick really pleased with it had it 6 months now but non stick coating really thin never use metal spatula only wooden ones and will last year's **Q: can it be used as a commercial grill looking for a large grill that can cook burgers quickly** A: Depends how many. I have cooked 8 burgers 8 fat sausages mushrooms tomatoes and sliced peppers at the same time. If you check the dimensions, this would give an idea of how many burgers you could get on it. We use ours instead of a BBQ when we go away in our caravan. Hope this helps. **Q: Can it be used on a glass table?** A: Yez it can ,it hS small legs so it doesn't touch the glass.
