THIS is the gift to give all your travel friends!
I adore this book because it puts into words exactly how I feel about the magic of solo travel. It is honest and accurate about the exhilarating experiences you will have and also the reality of the bad days (and how to prevent them). This book is for the person who loves solo travel, or loves travel is is thinking about taking leap into solo travel, or someone who just needs a restart and a big change in their life. Solo travel changes your life for the better, makes you more confident, gives you unique experiences and adventure and ALL THE FEELS! You can tell from her writing, the author of this book, Alexa West, feels passionately about all of this and wants others to be able to experience it too. There is a lot to plan or understand before you take the step into traveling on your own for long periods, and this book explains all the little details that you might not otherwise think of. She gives you the motivation and the tips to succeed if you want to take the leap into living a full time life of travel , and ideas of how to go about it financially. If you are thinking of working abroad to fund your travels, or working remote in other countries, or just need to escape the US for awhile- this book is especially for you. Sometimes you need to just let go of all the STUFF thats weighing you down and just buy a one way ticket and GO! Thank you Alexa, for giving other women the confidence to do this.

Fantastic!!! A go-to for how to solo travel
I'm really happy with this book! I thought it may be like a memoir of her travels (as a lot of travel help books end up being) or an excuse to make another book for $, but it's FANTASTIC. It's full of practical information and helps, tips, "I got you" information.I also really felt really validated in how I feel about travel, because Alexa said how I was feeling! In that you can go and be who you want to be, etc. And just so many things she said. I really love this book - it's really good and full of specific mindsets and physical things, websites, etc. extra-great for someone who hasn't travelled solo before. I've travelled solo for most of my travel life but I still got A LOT out of it. I really love it. 5/5. Thank you Alexa!

I wish 2010 me could read this book
I just the One-Way Ticket Plan a couple of days ago and let it marinate in my brain. This book is a one stop shop for all of the questions a person may have about traveling either long term or short term. I spent my late 20s overseas and I wish I could have handed this book to 25 year old me. It would have prevented me from making mistakes, such as accidentally buying estrogen instead of birth control in China, or allowing romantic relationships overseas to take over my identity. This book also has practical advice for people traveling short term, such as get over yourself and just use the squatty potties, or if you have a real allergy you cannot guarantee there will be no cross contamination. I would recommend this book to those who are planning to travel soon or those with a dream and just need a kick in the pants to move forward.

A must have for travelers!
Traveling solo is intimidating, especially as a woman. And with good reason! From the big questions like, how do I stay safe? To the smaller ones like, will I be lonely on my own? There are a lot of things to wonder and worry about when considering your first solo trip. Alexa tackles all those questions and so many more in her book. And she does it in a way that doesn't make it feel like you've picked up a school textbook. Her writing style makes you feel like you're chatting with your BFF while she gives you her best tips for making your dreams come true. If you're hoping to explore the world on your own but don't know where to start, now you know - start with The One Way Ticket Plan!

The book you never knew you needed
I’ve read multiple books from this Alexis but this is my favorite thus far. It’s so moving! It’s so much more than just a “traveling book”. Maybe it speaks to me differently because of my life the past couple of years. But I feel it will benefit any female in Atleast one aspect of her life. I want all of my girlfriends to read it so they can feel empowered as a woman, discover what truly makes them happy, question their purpose. Ofcourse there’s also lots of amazing advise for traveling and many ways to connect to Alexis and her experiences. It’s like reading a book from your best friend. Everything you would want to know about traveling and so much more.
