It adds a bit of weight to prevent the camera from shaking every time your heart beats. The wide angle lens also helps smooth out the shots. Plenty of 1/8" screw holes for tripod and accessories. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars My Experience: *by G***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2012* I had this gadget for few days now, my firt impresion on day one was a little bit sceptical, there were few tings that I didn't like about this.1. This mount comes in two parts soft case and metal mount. It is very easy to put an iPhone with the case inside the mount, but its a little bit hard to take it out. There is a big whole in the mount that you need to use to push your phone out. You need to be very carefull because if you push to hard and it can slip from you hands and you can drop the phone.2. No option to turn off your iPhone, because the metal mount is convering the sleep button. Few thigns that you can do is to set an iphone to turn off autoamticly after 1 min or you can download QuickLock app from Cydia.3. Not very happy with wide angle lens. It gives slightly fisheye effect and if you are planing to use for making profesionl photos then you will need to use photoshop to fix this effect problem. I think this is the reason why they don't put photos on product website.4. Plastic Micrphone that came with this package is probably the most useless accessory. I think it defected because I get a strange noise every 10s. Also this mic is to sensitive its picking to much noise from the hands, or just regular turn while holding the mount.So my last word is that I like this mount case material quality, but design needs to be improved.////////////////////////////////Update Nov 26 2012After using for about 6 month I have to say that I'm very happy in general with this mount case, but not with the few accessories that it came. I'm using this case mostly with my mini tripod and I create a custom attachemnt to my bike so I can take photos while I'm driving its very fun and I really like to have supper protection that this mount is offering.I also want to mention that my wide angle/macro lens got stuck when one day I was trying to attache to my mCalite case. I no longer can seperate them becouse they are so tight and sicne these lenses are so small and has no groves for easy deatachment. I think the decision to make wide angle lens and use this in combination with macro lens is bad design.
