We got two of these mats for our mutt: one for the living room and one for the bedroom. It didn't take her long to realize it was a cool little oasis -- certainly better than our hardwood floor. It is remarkably cool to the touch. The gel inside does tend to squish out from underneath her though, but even so it was a lifesaver this past summer in Texas (which was brutal).(Also be sure it's out of your footpath because the squish-and-slide might catch you off guard.)

I got this mat for summertime and for a place for my dog to lay during training classes. So far I've only used it for the latter, but my dog seems to really like it. It's definitely heavier than I thought it would be, but it folds up nicely to fit in my tote bag.

Works great as a cooling mat as it feels noticeably cooler when you apply a bit of pressure to it. Material is a nice outdoor type material that is waterproof and fur-proof. Not sure how puncture-proof it is however. It’s a typical thickness for a gel mat and does not include any additional cushioning. The cooling works better on a hard cool surface (flooring, tile, stone, etc.), but some pets may prefer a more cushioned surface. The gel adds a bit of weight, but it’s also quite foldable.

It is cold to the touch and stays cold. It seems durable enough to withstand the 50lb Husky puppy abuse . I also like the collor but I use a pillowcase over it to keep it clean for my doggo 🐶

Dog approves. He loves to lay on it when it’s hot out.
