Brand New Mullard Reissue 12AU7 ECC82 Gain Matched Pair (2) Vacuum Tubes Suitable for all hi-fi low noise circuits. The Mullard 12AU7 has a warm and detailed sound great for McIntosh amplifiers. This is one of the best rated new production 12AU7 tubes on the market. Suitable for any amplifier that calls for 12AU7, ECC82, 6189 etc, Review: Give them time to burn in and enjoy the classic sound they bring - depends on your headphones and dac ... So i have the hifiman Ananda Nano which are analytical reference headphones..This tube and Fosi Zh3 AKM dac with Muse02 op-amps it tame that brightness treble down to a smoother sounding treble ..It made them enjoyable to listen for long periods of time it still retain everything else but the treable was smoother the bass was tight ,punchy ,control on the Nano .. This tube and muse02 also help out the Edition XS headphone also they are also a bright sounding treble headphone now was smoother and the bass was fuller richer sounding.. still had the edition xs puchy bass just made it better... I also have got the newer Edition XV .. with my hearing when i use eq to dail in my sound on the Nano and edition XS .. With the Edition XV left all the subbass, midbass, midrange all at 0 the only thing i add to them was a bass shelf filter they sound like a bass reflex tower speaker .. the treble side i mostly left them at 0 to the 12k 16k 18k 20k did a +1 or +1.5 to give it some air and sparkle now it depends on music source sometimes i did have to do a +1 on 1.5k 1.8k on few music i did have to turn down 700hz - 3 or -5 to get ride of honkness or harmonic distorion .. other then that i love them i do recommend 50hrs to hear a slight difference then 100hrs you hear the treble open up detail ... midrange levels out its not rich its a natural sound .. the midbass and subbass well it depens on your music sometimes its full rich balance sound then it can get thumpy and punchy sounding that is where the bass shelf comes into play just give it a slight boost like 30hz +1 and now it kicking like a set of kicker subs., I love how they sound on the Xduoo ta20plus .. Review: Mullard 12 AU7 - Mullard is well known for the British Sound.

Nice tubes.
I just received these today and installed them to replace two no name original tubes in my MS12-b that were just marked 'China'. While these are obviously not broken in yet there is still a notable improvement in clarity. There had always been a little bit of muddiness before that is mostly gone now.

Mullard 12AU7 Vacuum Tubes - Great Tubes...!!!
I purchased the Mullards as a replacement for the tubes in my new Gremlin pre-amp/headphone amp... I had read a few very positive reviews about them, the price was right, so I bought a pair... The reviews were correct - punchy bass, expansive mid-range, and the treble smoothed out, keeping in mind that the differences/improvements won't be huge or drastic... just enough - slightly, better sonics to make it worth your while... so, I'm happy with the results... Don't forget - you'll need to burn them in 6-10hrs...
