Having collected both since I was a kid; Schleich are sort of weird in-between. They're larger than a Stablemate (1/32) but smaller than a (no-longer produced) Paddock Pal (roughly 1/18); and anything bigger--Classics (1/12 and Traditional (1/9). I think they're somewhere in the 1/25 range. The wash stall is from the Classics (now renamed Freedom) line and is 1/12. Comparing similarly sized breeds I have in Classic and Schleich (mustangs); the Classic horse is at least twice as tall, and about two inches longer.

Hi! I'm unclear as to what you mean by "suitable for a 6-inch figure?" The rider is a teenage girl or young woman, about 3.5 ". Sitting the horse the combined figures are about 6 inches in height. I don't have a ruler handy, so that's a rough guesstimate, but fairly close. Hope that helps, insofar as I'm not sure what you're asking.

Q: Is this boxed so I can give as a gift? Or loose?

It comes in a nice box and everything is fastened down in the box so it will not rattle or get lost. Definitely gift quality. I gave this to my granddaughter for her birthday.
