Fashion and crafting!
This is a great craft for 8-12 year olds. This project took my 9 year old a couple of evenings to complete. It does take patience to get through, but breaking up the time was nice to keep her busy multiple evenings! This will be a nice craft for us to gift to friends her age and it feels sturdy! She is already enjoying using it as an accessory.

Cute but better for the older end of the age range.
This turned out super cute and the directions were easy to follow, but I think it is more advanced than the age range specified in the description. We have no crochet experience, but both my 5 and 8 year olds struggled with it. It ultimately ended up and a craft for me to complete and them to show off. Also, the video showed a purse with two magnetic closures and my paper directions only showed one, which is what came in my kit. The one closure it really hard to get to stay in the middle of the bag with all the bulky yarn. I think itโs much more practical to have a closure on each side as the video displays.

Cute purse
Love this purse - turned out so cute. Only taking stars away because it was harder for my 7 year old to do alone. Parents will need to help depending on age/skill level. The finished product is adorable and soft!

Medium level difficulty. Ten-year-old loved it.
My ten-year-old granddaughter loved this! I was afraid it would be too difficult, but once I got her started, she finished it in less than three hours. I suggested taking a break, but she wanted to finish it. One thing that puzzled us was that the instructions said to put the needle through every fourth hole. That made the plastic canvas bow because it was too tight, so she used every third hole. There was still yarn left over.

Such a great activity!
This is so cool!! I hate when an activity/craft is so complicated that I have to do it for my daughter but that is not the case with this purse! There is a youtube video that clearly shows how to do each step and she was able to follow it and make this purse on her own (she is 8). The purse is super cute once made and it is actually very sturdy. Shes worn it to a school dance and is very proud that she made it by herself!

Worth it. Be prepared for a reasonable challenge
I made this myself since the giftee was not confident enough with this kind of craft to do it herself. It was more difficult than I expected but it's somewhat forgiving since the yarn is so puffy. She loved it when I was finished. Not for a young kid unless they have crochet experience. Pre teen or teen who doesn't mind a challenge would enjoy it.
