The product was used as cover for our back, double door. It took two people to assemble it due to the length. It also required a drill for the front connection into the rounded edge. However, the installed product is great. We also got the amber product, so it provides a nice sun shield also.

This has a plastic/plexiglass center but the mounts are a nice heavy metal. We installed it a few months ago and have not had any issues plus lots of compliments. It was a great buy for the price. Install was pretty straight forward but that depends on the exterior of your structure. We put it on a house with siding and mounted it so that it lined up with the bottom of a row of siding. It made flashing and mounting much easier. Be sure to plan ahead BEFORE you try to mount it. It would be easy to have something that looked unlevel or had gaps behind it otherwise. We also sealed all the edges with clear silicone for water.

I'm usually pretty forgiving about things on Amazon because I know that at some level, its a lower quality Chinese nonsese but woooohoooo this thing is TRASH. I just finished installing this thing which I thought would take a few hours but it ended up eating my entire Saturday. The instructions state it takes two people to install which is true but even at that, you'll need everyone in the village to help you out.For starters, the brackets are not a hardy plastic. One of the lower edges on mine broke when I applied too much pressure while attempting to screw it into the wall. This is not quality plastic. Strike one. Minor side thing of less importance: You also notice you have no options as far as different colors. I have white trim on my building and I would have therefore preferred a white bracket to match but there's only one option which is black.Second, the panels are corrugated plastic, which is already bad enough but they either don't fit into the aluminum H channels or they fit so well that they slide right out. Getting each section to fit into the bracket armature its a CHORE. You need a soft mallet to tap them into place but even with that, its inevitable that you'll end up destroying the edges. Strike Two.Finally, I'm not confident that this will hold up in a storm, let alone a slightly high wind situation. If you really need an awning, look elsewhere. From a value standpoint, $100 is appropriate for what you're getting but.. you're not getting anything. You could probably end up cheaper and better if you buy a sheet of metal and build your own wooden brackets.tldr; this is not an acceptable solution.

I purchased one double awning, two single awnings, and one triple awning. First, once you put the awnings together, they easily fall apart when you lift them to install. Enough screws are not included. I had to end up using painters tape to keep them together until they were secured. Second, be very sure that your surface is flat and the awning brackets lay flush with the surface. Otherwise, you will need to adjust the depth of the screws. Third, the screws included to attach the awning to the building just didn't work correctly. I needed to go to my local home store to purchase 3/8 x 2.5 lag bolts since I was attaching the awnings to wood. Lastly, I was able to install the double awning by myself but I needed to use large hooks to hang it before bolting it to my house. I could lift it myself and climb a ladder, but would not recommend doing this. You really need 3 people to be successful. I do believe that once up, they are sturdy, but I will see when winter comes. They do keep the rain away from my screened in porch. Will update when winter comes to NH.

Watched a couple YouTube videos (helpful). Because of the lite weight construction, it was easy to put together and mount to garage.

Installed different sizes above walk-in doors and windows on an all Metal Building. Had to use different fasteners for that though. They look great!The assembly can be done by one person. But two people would have been great!

Worked out well on shed ! Had to use my own stainless 3/8 lag screws and washers fastners provided for mosonry walls to attach to wood shed . Will see how it holds up over time .
