I also didn't use the thermal paste that came with the frame. I just wanted to throw in my results in case it is of any use.CPU: i7-12700kMobo: Asus Strix z690-gCooler: NH-U12AThermal Paste: Arctic MX-4Case: Antec Dark CubeI had tested using Cinebench R23 before and after for both stock and oc and the results were within margin of error.Just for reference the stock temps were 76c to 80c with 20c ambient. My OC was the AI option. It was bouncing between 4.9-5.1ghz. Sometimes it did go up to 5.3. It did thermal throttle briefly. CPU fans were full speed. It mainly thermal throttle as it approached 230 watts. I'm sure I could dial it in a bit.I didn't do research before this. It was also cheap entertainment for a day off so I do not feel like I'm out anything. It does look nicer even if no one can see it. I do prefer it over the stock mount. Also I usually don't overclock.It seems upon further reading the contact frame improves water cooling. They have a flat contact plate. The contact frame helps it out because the IHS is concave/convex. On air coolers they tend to also have a matching curve on the plate. When pressed together they already make good contact.I can confirm that this does nothing for my Noctua cooler. The SecuFirm mount was good at holding the bracket back plate in place during the swap. and it looks way better then the old bracket. No one can see it though under a cooler.

Since I couldn't get the Thermal Grizzly version, I settled on this. I ran Cinebench R23 on a loop prior to the install and was hitting 104C on my 12900K which is at 5.1Ghz all core. This dropped my temps by over 15C, I sit at 90C on the hottest core and 73C on the coldest core. The install was easy, remove the old bracket and screw the new one on. I turned the screws until I felt a tiny bit of resistance and gave each screw not even a quarter turn after. I am a huge believer in these brackets and this one works perfectly! It comes with a bunch of stuff I didn't use but it's nice for people that don't have a million extra parts like I do.

It fixed the misalignment problem I was having with the pump of my new AIO cpu cooler and new Intel Core i9-13900KS I had just purchased. It lowered the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool test temperature 7 to 10 degrees C on the hottest cores. Better performance than the professional online reviewers experienced.

There were no instructions- atleast not in English. The QR code on the paper insert opened a chinese website. It went on easily enough, just make sure the plate on the back of the board stays in place and avoid overtightening to avoid damaging the pcb - don't force it. I have no idea if it had any affect on Temps as it was a new build. The picture is not exactly what you get, it shows the cpu bracket, a tube of thermal paste, a spreader, a thermal pad, two finger "gloves" and a tool for removing/replacing the screws on the cpu bracket. I got the bracket, the tool, the thermal pad and a foil packet of paste - which once opened will go to waste if you don't use it all. No tube, no spreader, no gloves.If you want the recloseable tube of paste and the spreader to make it easier to properly apply the paste, go with a different brand.If you're using a different paste entirely or your cooler has pre-applied paste, then it probably doesn't matter and you can save a few bucks using this socket corrector instead of paying for a brand name that does the same thing.
