Works great, it’s been correct every time.

My husband and I have tested it but it shows that we had a tiny amount of alcohol when we haven't had any. If it's going to be wrong, I'd rather have it say that I drank too much than too little. When we did have one glass of wine each, it suggested we had more to drink that just the one glass. We'll hang on to it as an indicator but I wouldn't rely on it if I'm serious about knowing my blood alcohol content.

We host most of our family gatherings / holiday parties and serve alcohol so when I saw this breathalyzer I thought it would be a nice tool to have. It is rechargeable, comes with 5 tips, usb cord, an instruction booklet, and is very easy to use. Well my husband and I tested it and we got different readings showing it not very accurate. First thing when I opened it up and tested it before ever taking a drink it showed 0.02. About 5 minutes after having 1 drink I blew 0.00. Seconds after taking 1 swallow 0.29. 5 minutes after having 2 drinks 0.00. After 3 drinks 0.00. Shortly after my husband took a swallow of beer he blew 0.69. After he had 3 beers he blew 0.00. After 6 beers 0.00. But, again, shortly after taking a swallow 0.89. I will continue to play with this thing hoping the inaccuracy is due to user error but I don't think it is very accurate. I will update my review if I feel it's my bad and the readings are more accurate.

For only $10, this is a good deal on a breathalyzer that should really be used for entertainment and not relied on for accuracy. Like most breathalyzer's in this price range, I find that the first reading can be pretty accurate, but the subsequent reading after that can be all over the place - at least until it dries out and is used again on a different day. It's actually pretty fun to use and a good conversation piece.

The instructions state that you should take a deep breath and blow into the device slowly, at a constant speed. And the instruction manual claims that the device has an accuracy of +/- 10%.I drank some alcohol, waited 30 minutes, and took several readings with the breathalyzer. After several tests in a row it was clear that the breathalyzer was not capable of consistent readings. Each reading was a lot different from the next reading, taken only seconds and minutes apart. And most readings were very low, nowhere near the 0.023 that I calculated the device should have read after 30 minutes.I took several readings again after 1 hour. I calculated that my BAC should have been about 0.015 after an hour. But after several tests in a row the readings were as low as 0.005 and as high as 0.029. So even though I took readings one after the other in a span of several minutes, most readings would differ from the next reading by a lot more than 10%.At any given time this device is off by more than +/- 40% from what it should be reading, with no consistent readings from one reading to the next. It is completely useless as a BAC measuring device and I would not recommend you purchase it.

Accurate and easy to use. Easily stored away when not use

My boyfriend and I used this one night to test it out. It was very easy to use. We blew multiple times throughout the evening and got wildly different readings that didn't make sense. It was kind of fun just to see what the numbers would be, but I wouldn't count on it to decide if you should drive or not.

This unit is very lightweight, simple to use, and it seems to be consistent and therefore, reliable. I do not have any way to verify the accuracy of this tester, but upon testing it with our group of four who were drinking alcoholic beverages one evening, it was easy to put to the test. First, we all used the tester before we had anything to drink. Two of the four blew a zero, and the other two registered a tiny decimal positive. We should have all been zero, so I have no explanation for the small positive number that we blew, but we blew about the same number again after re-test, so this tester does seem to be consistent. As we began and continued to consume our alcoholic beverages, we tried testing again and again to see how this new breathalyzer worked. It was like we were kids who had received a really fun toy for Christmas and we couldn’t put it down. As expected, the more we drank, the higher the reading was. We even tried to “fool” the breathalyzer by drinking a lot of water, but that had no effect on the reading.This unit is simple to use. Just follow the on-screen prompts, be patient, and you’ll have a seemingly reliable tool to let you know your blood-alcohol level. It uses a standard USB-C charger and a short charging cord is included. And the battery life seems to last a really long time between charges. If giving as a gift, this breathalyzer comes in a very nice quality box, and includes a total of 5 mouthpieces (we only used one).
