This small pistol safe is exactly what I was looking for in terms of safety and portability. It offers both biometric access and a traditional key, which gives extra peace of mind. The fingerprint setup was surprisingly easy. Just hit the button inside and scan your fingerprint three times. If the press is not clean, the ring turns red, which is super helpful. You can store up to 100 fingerprints, making it easy to program multiple fingers or users. The case feels heavy duty with thick inner padding that protects the contents well. I also love that it comes with a steel cable, so I can secure it to a fixed point whether I am at home or on the go. It fits perfectly in a nightstand, car, or suitcase and gives that extra sense of security. It is also great for storing valuables like jewelry, documents, or medications while traveling, making it useful beyond just firearm storage.

I bought the HOLEWOR Biometric Gun Safe to keep my handgun secure but still easily accessible at home and in the car. The fingerprint sensor is incredibly fast and accurate — it unlocks almost instantly every time, which gives me peace of mind knowing I can get to my firearm quickly if needed. The safe is compact yet sturdy, perfect for bedside tables or glove compartments. The build quality feels solid, and the interior is cushioned to protect the gun from scratches. It’s lightweight and portable, making it great for travel. Setup was straightforward, and I was able to register multiple fingerprints without any hassle. The safe also includes backup keys in case of emergencies.

Nice and compact

This is not my first HOLEWOR safe, so I can already say with confidence the battery life and biometric functions are of no concern. For basic safety and access control, it does its job well. If your goal is to prevent unauthorized access in everyday situations—like keeping it on a shelf, in a desk drawer, while traveling, or even during camping (and you're not trying to carry while sleeping)—this is a practical device. When paired with the included cable and anchored to something sturdy, it adds another layer of security that should be more than enough to keep out curious kids or other unauthorized users in a controlled environment. That said, it’s important to be realistic about what this safe is NOT. This is NOT a theft-proof device. A determined person with basic tools—or even just force—could likely break into it without too much trouble. A few solid hits with a hammer or pry attempts could compromise it fairly quickly. Like most compact safes in this category, it functions more as a delay mechanism rather than a serious barrier against theft. This becomes especially relevant in vehicles or less secure environments. Car break-ins are often quick and opportunistic, and small lockboxes (even when cabled) can be removed entirely and forced open later. In some cases, a visible cable or safe might even signal that there’s something valuable inside, potentially increasing the risk of a targeted break-in. On the practical side, the interior size is decent. It comfortably fits an average-sized handgun along with an extra magazine or two. For reference, I was able to fit a Ruger SP101 with a 4-inch barrel (unholstered) and still had room left over for a smaller handgun like a S&W Bodyguard. Overall, this safe works well as a basic safety device for responsible storage and quick access in low-risk environments. Just don’t rely on it as your primary line of defense against theft—it’s better viewed as a deterrent and delay tool rather than a hardened security solution. I'm rating this 4-Stars because it's (subjectively) a good product, works as intended, but has important limitations buyers should understand.

The biometric fiction is really good. Holds 100 finger prints. I programmed all 10 fingers plus my index and thumb print multiple times to insure it reads them. The battery compartment is a bit of a pain to open and pry the battery holder out. I used my own high quality batteries. Didn’t trust the ones it comes with to last very long. To program your finger prints is very easy. It has a LED light inside. It makes noise when opened. So it’s not covert in an emergency if say you want it next to your bed. So long as you understand what this is made for it’s pretty nice. It won’t prevent theft. It can probably be broken open with just a big screwdriver. And of course the entire box just taken. The cable will keep a child from taking it but anyone with a pair of common wire cutters can probably cut the cable without much effort. But it will keep your pistol out of reach from your children. If you have it tethered under your car seat, maybe a thief without tools won’t be able to get in it or rip it free from a seat frame. To me this is mostly just to keep me legal if I have to leave it in my car. Don’t think it will stop a prepared thief with tools. It will be legal to transport in a car and left in the car if you can’t bring it into a place that doesn’t allow firearms like hospitals, schools, federal buildings. Etc. that’s pretty much all I bought it for.

Anyone can make a safe, but it's rare for a company to make a difference. I initially purchased two of these safes, each with quirky biometrics. After reading my review, the company replaced both safes, which work well now. It's rare these days for a company to be proactive in its service, but this company went above and beyond all expectations. The safe is the heaviest and most secure travel safe I have purchased. The Biometric lock is easy to program and opens quickly, and the attachment cable is strong. My only suggestion is to use a drop of Red LockSet to anchor the cable to the safe. This makes for a great Christmas gift for gun owners and travelers who want to secure cash, jewelry, documents, etc... I recommend the safe for its build quality, ease of use, and reliability, but more than that, I recommend this product for the company's unmatched level of customer service.
