Mini Envelope Punch Board

I love this little mini envelope maker. I also use it to make paper bows, as embellishments on my cards and gift tags, and it makes cute mini file folders as well. When it works, it’s wonderful! However, the first one I owned, broke with no abuse, not too long after I bought it (but after the return period was past. I debated whether to give it another try, and waited several months before giving in and purchasing another one. I am hoping I have better luck this time. I will update this review and lower my stars if the same thing happens again, but for now I am pleased with it!

So fun to make tiny cards. Did not know this was going to become a obsession of mine. But there's something about making a 2x3-in card, and leaving a mini thank you card behind when somebody does something kind for you. In a world that lives on one type of social media or another. Usually something tactile makes people happy. And this is a great use of my scraps. Making envelopes with this tool is so easy. I prefer to use a heavy duty printer paper in colors, but I have used this with cardstock as well up to 110 lb. 110 is not ideal, it is a little too thick for this. I would recommend 65 lb. or less. But the punch can handle 110 at least in my opinion. Not sure about repeated use. The board in the picture is my older of the two. So that's why there's a few scuffs.

I love my little envelopes but I wish this product was a little more solid. Also, the punch is hard to press in a clunky sort of way. Sadly, I feel this thing won't last long.

This mini envelope punch board is just wonderful and SO cute! Its function is the same as the standard sized board however in a “mini” scale. When I made the 1" x 1" envelope, I couldn’t believe that I was able to make an envelope so small. I do have feedback about the score tool, it's a bit too thick to get a thin score line as there’s not much margin for error when making such a tiny envelope. I did find that using a toothpick with a blunt end worked perfectly. I could not find my stylus with the smallest tip, I think that would also be a good solution to get a fine score line. Bottom line: get it and have fun! I have attached a picture showing the standard envelope punch board compared to this new mini envelope punch board (and examples of how tiny the envelopes can be!)

The mini envelopes are not a great fit, especially for a 2x2" card, but I can always trim the cards a bit. Once again, WRMK insist on making illegible markings and measurements. Why do they use a light gold on a pale background? And they are so small, when there is at least another one inch of space where they could have expanded the font size. I typed up a list of the measurements after reading them through a lit magnifying glass. I would have lost all patience trying to decipher the measurements as they are. I was frustrated trying to work out what size paper for smaller cards that I succumbed and bought this gadget. I will keep it and use it but am glad that I took the time to make a chart of their illegible measurements.

This is so perfect for making small gift card envelopes using all those little scrap pieces of paper left over. I love 3x3 cards to make as gift cards and it works the same as the larger envelope punch board. All the punches worked perfectly. I wasn't so impressed with the small bone folder, it was too thick to use with the score line on the board (at least I thought so). I can see from the cover that they had journalers in mind when they designed this for creating pockets to go inside journal pages (super cute idea to create a book mark with a small envelope using a large paperclip in the back).
