The SaaS Model

Good reference book for SAAS Marketing professionals
Despite being in SaaS for more than a decade in cross-functional roles, I still learnt a few new and revised many concepts in the second half of the book as it moved to advanced topics. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for very seasoned and experienced folks. It is good, but not great for this audience segment. However, if you're fairly new to the world of SaaS or a marketeer planning to build a career in the massively growing subscription economy, you'll be able to get a ton of value in every chapter. I strongly recommend that you consider reading this book.Srini has covered various topics like freemium models for customer acquisition, role of content marketing, renewals, expansions, building the marketing team, working with founders, running SaaS marketing motions, measuring outcomes, ROI etc really well. Moreover, this book isn't limited to just marketing as it often goes into the realm of business in general. But then, that's what SaaS is all about where "Customer Acquisition" and "Customer Success" is a company-wide shared responsibility across functions. And that's possibly the most effective and scalable way to grow the business.

Evolution of Marketing in SaaS world
A very well written book. Covers the basics very well especially the evolution of marketing from an on-premise world to the cloud ecosystem. Beyond the standard marketing metrics of MQLs, the author explains the various stages of engagement with a customers through an AARRR (Acquisition, Activation, Revenue, Retention, Referral) and the role marketing plays in each of these stages. Also, included is a perspective on partnership with Customer Success which essentially is becoming the core to a successful SaaS business.I recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the evolution of marketing in the last decade with the advent of SaaS as the primary business model.
