Effective and Affordable
Let's get this out of the way: the taste is nothing great. However, I think if you buy an unflavored pea protein powder, taste is probably not important. It's just neutral, not good or bad. It mixes easily, and you get a lot for the price. For me calorie count per gram of protein is important, and this is the lowest calorie per serving, plant-based protein I've been able to find. And 5 lbs lasts for quite a while, even at 2 servings or more a day. I've been using it for about 6 months, and my strength and size continue to improve in the gym. I will continue to use this protein unless they drastically increase the price.

Very inexpensive plant based protein powder with lots of other nutrients. Great buy!
The Naked Pea protein power packs a whopping 76 2-scoop servings into a container, all of which is high quality pea protein, (just 1 clean ingredient) and loaded with other nutrients. This is the most affordable way to get a lot of protein for a low price. It is, as expected, fairly chalky, and it has no real discernable flavor. I make smoothies out of it, with 12oz unsweetened plant milk (usually almond milk), 1 Tbs of lemon juice, 1 Tbs chia seeds, 1 Tbs ground flax seed, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 scoop of the Naked Peanut Butter powder (a killer value, also with 76 servings, that has a great peanut flavor and has very low fat and no sugar, plus another 7gm of protein), some Allulose or other non caloric sweetener, 1 cup of frozen berries, and perhaps 3 or 4 ice cubes. It is pretty good, although still not as fruit forward as a regular fruit smoothie, which is why I add lemon juice for a little more zing. But dang, it makes a big smoothie that will fill you up and give you a ton of nutrients, some fiber, and a lot of protein, and actually tastes pleasant.

Wonderful source of plant protein
This is wonderful. Gram for gram I think this is the best I have found. 30 grams of powder is 27 grams of protein. Also adding this to soup is awesome. If you make a cream summer squash soup and add this in it is fantastic. If you have it as is it kind of tastes like cold pea soup, but you can get used to it. It is not unpleasant

takes some time to adjust
When I first tried this pea protein powder, I was interested in finding a plant-based option that could provide a clean source of protein without any added flavors or sweeteners. The 5lb container is a great size, offering 76 servings, so it’s perfect if you plan to use it regularly. The powder itself is a fine, unflavored pea protein isolate, which means it’s easy to mix into shakes, smoothies, or even baked goods without altering the taste. I liked that it was unflavored because I could add it to various recipes without worrying about a strong taste interfering with other ingredients. I mixed it into my morning smoothies and post-workout shakes, and I was impressed with how easily it dissolved. There was no grittiness or aftertaste, which can sometimes be a problem with plant-based protein powders. The protein content is solid, offering 20 grams of protein per serving, which is perfect for my needs after a workout or to keep me full between meals. I also appreciated that it’s easily digestible, and I didn’t experience any bloating or discomfort, which I’ve had with other types of protein powders in the past. However, there are a couple of things I think could be improved. First, since it’s unflavored, it does have a slight pea-like taste, especially if you don’t mix it with a lot of other ingredients. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s noticeable if you drink it in just water or with just a simple fruit blend. Another thing to consider is that it can be a little less sweet than other protein powders that use stevia or other sweeteners. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you might need to add something like honey or a flavored powder to balance it out. Overall, I’m satisfied with this pea protein powder. It’s a great option for those looking for a clean, plant-based protein source that’s easy to digest and versatile. While it does have a subtle pea flavor and lacks sweetness, it works well in smoothies, shakes, and other recipes. The 5lb container offers a lot of servings, making it a good value, especially for those who use protein powder regularly. If you’re looking for an unflavored, vegan protein that delivers solid nutrition without any additives, this one is definitely worth considering.

Clean, Simple, and Great Quality
Simple, clean, and exactly what I wanted. It mixes well in smoothies, has no added flavors or sweeteners, and is easy on my stomach. The taste is plain as expected, but that's perfect if you want to add it to your own recipes. Great value for a high-quality pea protein.

Great product great price horrible taste
Love the company and ingredients are quality but its gritty and tastes like straight up weiner water. Awful taste. Good thing is it will kill any hunger if you drink it.

BEST PROTEIN
Mixes very well. I like the taste of the unflavored version. Good quality protein. No bloated feeling. My only complaint would be that the scoop is very hard to find.

$300 and 20lbs of muscle later... it's almost perfect.
I've consumed over 6 tubs of this stuff and tried all 3 flavors over the course of 2 years. I've also put on 30lbs of mass (Maybe about 20-25lbs of muscle) all on a plant based diet. That being being said, I love Naked Pea. But it has faults that hold it back from being 5 stars. Yall will probably want to hear the bad so here it is first: -The Taste: the unflavored one tastes like cardboard. Some soymilk and coffee helps dilute that bleh taste, but DO NOT buy the unflavored Naked Pea if you need a protein powder that tastes good. On the flipside, this one does have the best macros. The vanilla flavor is the best imo given it tastes decent with just water. The chocolate flavor is also better, but lacks chocolatey-ness (is that a word?). If making a chocolate protein shake, I would add in some cacao powder to actually taste the coco goodness. -Measuring Scoop is innacurate: if you're anal about macros like I am, this can be really annoying. The unflavored Naked Pea is actually quite accurate, but the chocolate and vanilla flavors are horribly off. One serving is 2 scoops (38g), but when I measure out that much on my scale it's as high as 52g! That's an extra 63 calories than more than what the label tells us. May not seem like much, but if you have a service a day for a month, it's enough to gain a half lb of fat if you didn't know the serving scoop was incorrectly portioned. Not much of a problem for bulking, but when I'm on a cut I get out my scale for the choco/vanilla flavors... which is a hassle. Those 2 points are what bring it down to 4 stars for me. But overall I do still like this protein powder. Besides these flaws, it does everything I want it to, and helps me get that extra bit of protein when I'm too lazy to cook a high protein meal. I recommend the vanilla flavor for first time buyers as it tastes the best IMO and it's neutral flavor works well in many recipes. Add some matcha or coffee to is in the morning. Blend it into a smoothie. Mix it into pancake mix... the sky is the limit. If you like vanilla, maybe try the chocolate flavor for variety, but note that it's not very chocolate-y. Only buy the unflavored one if you are a fitness-nut who is crazy about macros (like me) and doesn't mind cardboard shakes.

Excellent non dairy protein powder, easier on my stomach
I originally checked this out because whey protein was giving me bloating and a lot of mucus, and honestly this has been the best non-dairy protein source I’ve tried for the price. The nutrition is great, the ingredients are simple, and it works perfectly in smoothies. A lot of people complain about the taste, but I honestly think those people are expecting it to taste sweet like whey protein. This is unflavoured pea protein, so of course it has more of an earthy/neutral taste. I mix it into smoothies with spinach, bananas, peanut butter, or almond milk and I barely notice it. If you already make green smoothies or protein shakes, the flavour really isn’t a problem at all. What I like most is how easy it is on digestion. Whey always made me feel bloated, but this one sits way better in my stomach and doesn’t give me any issues after workouts. It’s also convenient because you can throw it into shakes, oatmeal, or recipes for extra protein without adding a bunch of artificial ingredients or sweetness. Mixing is best in a blender or smoothie. I probably wouldn’t drink it plain with water because it is a little chalky on its own, but blended with other ingredients it tastes completely fine. One small thing: the scoop sizing is a bit redundant since the serving says 2 scoops. I usually just do one large scoop because it ends up being about the same amount anyway. Overall, if you want a clean, affordable, non-whey protein powder that’s easy on the stomach and great for smoothies, I highly recommend this. Hope this helps.

Bought UNFLAVORED: Can't get past the chalkiness
Absolutely horrible taste. Tasting it on its own, it's a little salty / savory. It also has a somewhat pasty texture out of the container. When mixed in liquid, the chalky taste never goes away. You can add all kinds of flavors to mask the taste, but the chalkiness never goes away. Had 2 servings...sadly, ready to throw it out.
