disc 1: From the creators of Coraline and ParaNorman comes a magical family adventure about heroes in all shapes and sizes: the Boxtrolls. Quirky, mischievous and good-hearted, these box-wearing creatures have lovingly raised a human boy named “Eggs” (voiced by Isaac Hempstead Wright) in a charming cavern below the bustling streets of Cheesebridge. But when evil Archibald Snatcher (voiced by Ben Kingsley) decides to capture the lovable misfits, it’s up to Eggs and his feisty young friend Winnie (voiced by Elle Fanning) to save the Boxtrolls. / disc 2: When a small town comes under siege by zombies, who can it call? “Norman!” From Focus Features and LAIKA, the companies behind the Academy Award-nominated animated feature “Coraline,” comes the comedy thriller ParaNorman, an all-new frightfully funny, magically emotional, and hilariously spooky story. ParaNorman is set in the town of Blithe Hollow, where 11-year-old Norman Babcock (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee of “Let Me In” and “The Road”) spends much of his days appreciating the finer points of scary movies and studying ghost lore. In fact, Norman is gifted with the ability to see and speak with the dead. He is floored by the revelation that a centuries-old witch’s curse is about to come true, and that only he will be able to stop it from going into overdrive and harming the townspeople. Once a septet of zombies suddenly rises from their graves, Norman bravely summons up all that makes a hero – courage and compassion – as he finds his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits. The movie is directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler, from an original screenplay by Chris Butler. / disc 3: From the Director of The Nightmare Before Christmas comes a visually stunning stop-motion animated feature like you've never seen before! Coraline Jones is bored in her new home until she finds a secret door that leads her into a world that's just like her own…but better! But when this fantastical adventure turns dangerous and her "other" Mother tries to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness and bravery to get hom. 3D and not the english versions!
So all three films are are both 2D AND 3D... which was a surprise as there’s nothing on the listing or packaging to indicate this is the case- an added bonus if you like 3D but not for me. In addition they’re not the English version- which is fine for two of the disks as you can change the settings, however the menus on the Boxtrolls disk cannot be changed (you can still watch the film in English) - so it can be fun trying to work out the options! That being said the picture quality and sound are as expected and honestly at the price I’m perfectly happy with them.

Good buy price wise.
The films are a bit strange, might be a bit scary for young kids. Good price for the three of them.

3D ain't dead, despite the wishes of those that already are!
Can't beat kid's animations in 3D - and the BoxTrolls and ParaNorman fully agree! So will Coraline when I give her a spin!Did 'cut-outs' offended the sensibilities of the 'oh-so-sophisticated'? Get some decent sound amplification to go with it and 3D (preferably animation) really comes alive! Sorry that 'mummy' was scared in case it gave you headaches or overloaded your brain!

Great value.
Bought for Coraline as the box set of 3 Laika DVDs was cheaper than buying just 1! All discs work fine in UK.Coraline is just simply magical but may scare under 10s as it is dark, like a Roald Dahl tale, whereas Paranorman is good creepy fun that is not so scary.
