Outstanding Youth Glove
This glove has been perfect for my 11 year old son. The contour fit is great for his current hand size. Plenty of length in the finger stalls to keep using for years to come. He loves the color scheme as well. Don’t worry about the R2G making this glove too soft and breaking in too much. The leather is stiff and breaks in like other HOH gloves I’ve had, maybe just a little faster. I expect this glove will last plenty of seasons.

Outstanding product!
When the package arrived, it was well packed and protected from the elements that can affect the leather. It is leather made and with quality! My son uses it for college and tells me that it's very comfortable and well made! He's able to grab the ball effortless and able to pull out for the quick sling throw! He's a shortstop so when he says it's perfect...take his word for it! You won't get a better glove with the quality that comes with it! The price is well paying for considering that there are other gloves that perform at the same level but at a higher cost!

Welcome to the big leagues!!!
What can I say about this glove??? There are standard baseball gloves and then there are Heart of the Hide baseball gloves... The best of the best, it doesn't feel like any other glove you have ever worn...it has nice molded stiffness to it but is still super soft and breaks-in very easily,. We used a wooden ball mallet and played catch with it all weekend and boom it was ready to go. We got it on a Wednesday and used it in a scrimmage about 5 days later. Best glove I've ever owned!

Quick break in without compromising quality
The media could not be loaded. This glove has the heart of the hide quality with a much quicker break in time. I was nervous the R2G series would not have the quality of leather that I wanted but I am beyond pleased with this glove. Super pumped to have this for years to come. I can picture this being perfect if you need to get one to break in fast for a kid.

Rawlings Only
I’ve only ever bought Rawlings. This is my second Heart of the Hide in 15 years. They cost more but the leather is SO soft, the glove is about half broken in already, and it’s just a beautiful glove.

Quality Glove, but…
Definitely not going to find many gloves on the market better than this one. With that said, it’s still not perfect.I’ve owned this glove for about 2 months and the pictures reflect the glove after 2 months of light use. I coach 8u travel ball. Aside from a couple catch sessions with a friend who throws about 65-75 MPH this glove has only caught throws from 6-8 year olds. My biggest negative is that, as you can see, the “heart of the hide” stamp in the palm is already faded. The lacing is top notch. And the glove comes 65% broken in. I lotion this glove about 5 times over a few weeks trying to get it to fully break in, but after 6 weeks of trying that, I finally started beating it with a wooden mallet and after about 5 minutes of pounding it’s officially 100% broken in. I say that because glove lotion will darken the gray side of the glove, so if you don’t want that you should probably just beat it.On a positive note, there’s no doubt in my mind that this high quality glove will last a LONG time. There’s just little things about it that I would expect a higher quality from a glove with an MSRP of $299. Luckily I got it on sale for $225. Definitely worth it, but not perfect. The only other feedback I have is if you’re used to an 11.5” glove, the extra .25” actually makes way more of a difference than I expected and I find myself catching the ball in the palm way more than I have with any of the dozens of gloves I’ve owned in my life. So if you’re an infielder, you might want to consider something smaller. I played infield my whole life and prefer a small glove and this one definitely feels more like an outfield glove (at least for me).Happy shopping!
