This book was as expected and arrived quickly.

Usually the Palazzo Te appears in art histories to contain only the Room of the Giants as examples of Giulio Romano's work. This book shows the whole of the palazzo, inside and out. The author, as a former director, gives a full account of the 'pleasure palace'. In 24 sections the book illustrates the art of Romano in painting and stucco for each room. Great book about an incredible place. Very informative and the imagery is superb. Having been there, this book does a great job of explaining the history and effort that went into creating an immovable masterpiece. If you happen to be in Mantua, Italy it's well worth your time to visit in person.

Very good picture quality, well laid out overview of the building and all its glorious murals. Matches my memory of a great visit.
