I bought this as soon as I realized they made such a thing. You see I have reached a point in my life where Mother Nature has decided to change things up a bit to keep life interesting. The unwelcome hot flashes at random times of the day just wasn’t enough and also needed to appear at night as well. I was no sooner all comfy and wrapped up in my blankie and bam needed to kick off the covers because my bed suddenly turned into a sauna. My feet were hanging over the edge of the bed in search of coolness and were no longer afraid of or cared if the monster under the bed grabbed them and drug me off. Then I saw one of these and decided to give it a try. The silkiness of the fabric felt amazing and didn’t stick.l to me like cling wrap. It was nice and cool and a welcome relief. I slept so well at a comfortably cool temp until I woke up freezing and needed to grab another blanket. In all fairness I do need to have a blanket with weight to it and this isn’t it but I still have another handy.The only con of this worldly wonder is it is made of two satin-y pieces of fabric sewn together. Like a duvet cover without the opening. Anyway….the two slippery pieces slide against each other and can get all caddywampus in the worst way. It will slide off the bed treadmill style and take the other sheets/blankets with it. Oh and it makes making the bed even more of a joy as it helps the bedspread slide off at strange angles like a cat rumpling the covers. I haven’t washed it yet but it does come with a special little bag to wash it in.

I ordered this blanket out of pure desperation when the temperature got up to 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Out of the package, the blanket feels substantial and is a slinky, stretchy, slightly shiny material. I placed it on the bed over an Egyptian cotton top sheet and it felt surprisingly much more breezy than my previous blanket that was basically like a thin flannel top sheet. I was a little skeptical as I was falling asleep, but the next thing I knew was that I had slept 7 hours and did not wake up tossing and turning from being too hot. The comfort score is A+. The slinky material did slide around a bit and I think that could be helped by tucking both bottom corners under the mattress, but I only have the blanket on one half of the bed. The major detractor that keeps me from rating this blanket higher is the care instructions. It took me several hours to tumble dry the king size blanket on the lowest delicate dryer setting. I do not know how long it would have taken to hang it up and air dry it, but I have high humidity where I live and no convenient area in which to hang a large blanket. The blanket did come with a mesh delicates bag for washing and drying that has a plastic zipper, so that is a nice addition with attention to detail. It has not been snagged or damaged by pets.

So this is tough to review, we did return it but let me explain…… this does cool and feels very nice, however it doesn’t stay put, I was constantly trying to keep it on. Roll over, falls off, move your legs, it falls off. Not sure the solve for that so we returned it.

This blanket does cool as advertised. It is silky soft to touch. Please note it is also slick. It slides around the bed and anything on it slides as well (a quilt in our case) and requires nightly adjustment. Other than that, I love it!

At first I was like “what is this thin sheet?” But now it’s the one piece of fabric I go to every night, despite how thin it is. I would have returned it, if not for laziness, but I’m glad I kept it. It’s now a favorite of my son’s as well.

With it having been as high as 107F this summer, I had to take a chance on this. It's not only something cooling for the bed, but I would even suggest using this throw for a cool down when working in the heat, or when sitting in a car in the sun for a while. It is slinky, so don't sit on it unless you're prepared to slide a bit lol. My dog even appreciated lying under it during the day.

I often wake up at night with sweats. I have tried different light comforters and. One of them worked well. This blanket works. Since we bought this, no more episodes of night sweats

Is it cool? Yes, at the start of the night. It is a nice weight.... its lighter than a blanket. It is cool for a while and gets a little warmer over the night. It is a bit slippery. I think I like it..... One good thing. It's really cheap so its worth a try to see if it works for you.
