I bought this fine leather-bound book as a prop for a short horror film I was making. I needed some spooky stuff with which to fill the pages so I sat up all night researching ancient languages, hyrogliphs and runes, spells and incantations. I found one with which I was particularly taken and in a fever began to enscribe it upon the first page.Upon finishing I was taken by a queer sensation as if falling, and the room around me began to disappear. Only the book remained; black seas of infinity poured from its pages and I was carried upon them to a nether realm beyond space and time and body.A voice began to speak. Calm and quiet yet all knowing and terrible, containing power beyond human understanding."Fill the book and restore the Great Old Ones. Fill the book and fulfill your destiny... Fulfill the fate of men."Suddenly I was back in my chambers. The book opened itself and strange dark arts were projected upon the page. I began to trace out these ancient symbols and fullfil my destiny. But no sooner had I began than I was interrupted by an email from the Great terrible Eldritch entity Amazon.com asking if I could review my purchase and threatening unspeakable horrors if I failed to do so. So here I am: 5 stars. Would recommend to a friend. Not that such trivialities will be of any consequence much longer.

Gorgeous notepad, with good quality cover and lovely thick paper.. My son has been so excited with it and has spent hours doodling and writing in it. Email from vendor to check that we had received it ok and to check that we were happy with your product, which was a nice touch. I don't think I've received an email like that before when buying from Amazon so it made it more personal.

Looks lovely in photos and maybe I was just unlucky... but mine arrived dented on the front cover, the first page was marked and torn and the clasp was visibly loose. Looks like it will fall apart after only a few more opening and closings. Disappointed as this was meant to be for gift. I’ve had to initiate the returns process. I don’t know if I should bother ordering again incase I get another “bad one”. Such a pity as it looks beautiful in the advertised photos :(

Wonderfully old looking and well made. A little pricey but when i held it in my hands and then wrote inside i forgot about the price. The paper feels good quality and looks like old parchment which i thought was a nice touch, and i just love the clasp to shut it with.

My daughter was very excited by this, perfect book for writing spells in. The lock seems very secure and easy to open and close.

Brought this for my daughter she will absolutely love it. Its beautifully made and will definitely be buying from seller again

Looks beautiful in person, my girlfriend was absolutely thrilled with it. Only thing I could see being an issue is the staining the leather leaving on the first and last pages, which I believe to be a positive as the journal has a handmade feel throughout and the staining just adds to that.
