great for everyday woolen wear and wool blends
I like this stuff for woolens especially. Gentle and washes out cleanly when rinsed, plus it smells nice and works well in my HE machine and for handwashing in a basin. No color leakage as well. This reminds me so much of my old staple - Delicare by Arm & Hammer - which mysteriously disappeared from store shelves about 5-6 years ago. The smell is even similar. But I think this actually may work better and slightly gentler on easy-care woolens and wool blends.. Recommended! In addendum: I bought Perwoll for Wool & Delicates 1.5 L Bottle by Henkel on Amazon because I'm no longer able to find my old fave detergent for washing wools/silks, Arm & Hammer's DeliCare, online or in any stores, sadly. So, I decided to get try the Perwoll for Wool/Delicates (having used the powdered Perwoll versions whilst living in Europe) despite being twice the price of DeliCare but am happy that I did! It's quite similar, if not a lot better, to A&H's DeliCare...it even comes in a pink bottle like the former used to!

Great product
Love using this liquid for my very fine washables including some very expensive tops. Perwoll cleans well and leaves a lovely scent behind. I'm switching!!

LOVE this detergent
I have NO CLUE what the label says as it’s all in German. However I’ve been trusting this with my fine Irish wools for about a year now and it cleans, is as gentle as other more famous brands costing 3 times more for a smaller bottle. I don’t know if there’s lanolin in this but my sweaters, blankets and silks come out soft and faintly fresh smelling. The perfume is not overwhelming at all! I’ve used it for my cotton nightgowns that I wash on gentle & hang dry. It leaves them amazingly soft, nearly wrinkle free after drying and again, they just smell fresh. Highly recommend this! I’d be grateful for a translation of the label!

Very strong scent
The Perwoll in the pink bottle is, confusingly enough, the only Perwoll detergent that is meant for wool and delicates. The Perwoll Black, Perwoll Color, etc. all contain enzymes, which are not supposed to be used in the laundering of protein-based fabrics such as wool, cashmere, silk, etc.I normally really enjoy Henkel products, but the Perwoll is one of the few that I will not be repurchasing - it has a VERY strong scent that lingers forever (even at half the recommended dosage), so while I do like how it cleans and leaves clothes very soft, the scent is just too much for me. I think once I finish this bottle I will purchase the MieleCare detergent for delicates, since Miele laundry products tend to have lighter scents.

Works wonderfully
I use this to wash my sweaters with my washer's hand wash cycle. The sweaters come out with a weird stiff texture which made me nervous at first. But I stretched the sweaters a bit and then laid them flat to dry on a mesh frame made for this purpose. Once dry, the sweaters are soft and super clean and haven't shrunk at all. Love the product.

Perwoll: Wonderful detergent for those with sensitive skin
I love the Perwoll wash detergent. A German brand. Although I took German in college 50 years ago, I can’t really decipher the instructions. But they are pretty basic. It was designed for washing wool. I don’t wear wool. But I developed sensitivity, itchiness to detergents a couple of years ago. I was so happy to find Perwoll here on Amazon. I use it for all my nightgowns, blouses, underwear. I just use a tiny amount in cold water. I do small loads. I also use a tiny amount of a liquid hypoallergenic fabric softener. Clothes come out fresh, no detergent residue. NEVER use dryer sheets.I highly recommend it. And in anticipation of the upcoming tariffs, I should probably reorderit now and put it on Subscribe and Save.

Excellent for hand washing or machine
This has to be one of the best clothes detergents around. It's gentle on clothes, mild scented, and can be used in a front loader, top loader or when washing by hand. And it gets the stains out! When I travel, I pack a small container of perwoll in my suitcase, and whether I'm in Paris or on a remote tropical island, I can wash my clothes by hand and even get out the worst stains. This is particularly appropriate for wool and delicate items. I also like Persil gel, which is a stronger detergent, and used for machine washing only (not by hand) and does a slightly better job on hard stains. The Persil megaperls is what I use for everyday, but I pre treat with the perwoll or gel. Highly recommended. This bio degrades within 3 days in the environment making it an ecological choice.

Great Product for Years
I’ve been using this product ever since I lived for a period in Europe. It’s noticeably better than Woolite and was one of the first to be able to use in a front loader machine. It’s overpriced in the US but it’s worth it to me to get the quality I’ve come to expect.
