Great approach to healthy skin
I was after a skincare book by someone who really knew what they were talking about. I’d read books by people who turned out to be more expert at Instagram than making my skin look better. This book did not disappoint! It is written in a straight-talking way, but always backed by research and the author’s evident medical expertise. The advice is nearly all achievable by a normal person living a normal lifestyle. I was a bit intimidated by the length of the book, but it turns out that it is one you can dip into. Make sure you check the guidance on food intolerance - I didn’t realise that there were so many useless tests out there to avoid. I love that there are recipes - the Sri Lankan dhal with kefir raita is to die for!Recommend.

Informative and very interesting.
A well written and informative book which has made me really appreciate the function of my skin. Practical ,clear advice on skin care and the impact of diet on skin health. Some lovely recipes too. Can vouch for the fuel salad and granola. Highly recommend.

Book for All ages
Before I read this book, I had a couple of misgivings. Firstly, at my age (75+) I felt there was nothing much for me to gain from reading it. Secondly, as a recently retired Consultant from the NHS, there might not be much to learn from it.How wrong I was. On both counts.Dr Thivi has written a marvellous book where she has presented her knowledge and her advice in a most readable and a most practically applicable manner.Rather than go into details of what she has written I will conclude with my recommendation that this is a book that everyone can benefit from, whether you have a problem with your skin or not.Additionally, this book gives clear, definitive, and scientifically proven facts at a time where incorrect, sometimes even harmful information is available in abundance - particularly online.It could also be used as a good teaching aid for medical students and nurses in their training.

Amazing book
I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in skincare routine, lots of very important information, tips , food recommendation , healthy recipes, for healthy glowy skin !
