I've been using the ATOTO S8G2A74MS for a few weeks now, and I must say I'm genuinely pleased with its performance and versatility. The unit delivers exactly what the advertising promises—responsive, feature-rich, and well-designed for modern driving needs.It took me a few days to fully understand how everything works, but the more I use it, the more I appreciate its capabilities. From navigation to media integration, it's a solid upgrade for any vehicle.However, I’ve encountered one issue with the rear camera: the image appears mirrored, as if flipped horizontally. The installation was professionally done, and the technician confirmed it's likely a software-related problem. We attempted a firmware update, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.I’m hopeful that ATOTO can provide a solution or patch to fix this glitch, as everything else about the unit has exceeded my expectations.UPDATEAtoto’s customer service was fast and effective in responding to my request to fix the camera image. They provided clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and now everything works perfectly. Really impressed with their support!

This unit was extremely easy to install, the screen Is compact and you have plenty of room to work with, made installation a breeze. It comes with a ton of features and the 4G is a nice feature to have even when you may never really need it, I can see it coming in handy when you least expect it. It booted up super fast and only took a few seconds after connecting via my iPhone cable to setup CarPlay mode. On some Android models this can be an absolute pain and you need to add interfaces, but this is built in to the unit and booted right into CarPlay. If you have steering wheel controls, you might need an interface for that, unless your vehicle has the simple two wire setup. It took me about an hour and a half to install and that was taking my time.If it’s a newer vehicle you may need a CanBus interface. I already have one on my truck so I plugged it in and it worked just fine. For the price you pay I would say it’s worth it, it’s a quick unit and is very easy to use!

This unit is a very significant upgrade from my A5L unit. The additional cpu and memory make this head unit very peppy, indeed. They are really packing in a lot of features and upgrades into their hardware. The native music player supports M4A format which is a good thing for all of the audiophiles out there. They have integrated a DVR into the unit which uses the front and rear cameras (sold separately) and is therefore not dependent on the DVR Cam which is available in their store. When adding additional USB mass storage for my audio it indexed the files pretty quickly. Also, for all of those out there that like their music loud, if you have this unit connected to an external amp then it's pretty impressive.The only thing I would advise people of is that with the rapid release of upgrades to their head units, some of the features and apps need a little smoothing.That being said, their support team is very responsive and helpful.This is my 3rd Atoto head unit and each one is a leap forward from the last. My first unit was an F7, then an A5L, and now the S8 model S8G2A74MS.I would recommend this to anyone out there looking for a good bang for the buck. It keeps my old 1997 Ford Explorer feeling fancy.

I saw mostly good reviews of this unit and tried it out in my truck. The price point great. And it did work well for the first couple of months. But then I started having problem with the Apple CarPlay. It couldn’t fully connect in a way that my phone said that it was connected but nothing happened on the unit. It would get stuck on the “authentication verified” screen and wouldn’t go any further. The only way I found to fix it was to do a full factory reset. I did this 4-5 times in a month before it stopped working to fix the problem. After about another two weeks the radio started going out. It wasn’t getting a poor radio signal because I could see all the station and song info, but nothing came out of the speakers. I took it into my local car stereo place and they said that they have experience several connectivity issues with the Atoto units across the board. The annoying part is that it lasted just long enough to get past the amazon return window. So now I have to purchase a more expensive unit and not get my money back for this problem unit. Do not recommend. Spend your money elsewhere.

I love my new ATOTO head unit! I installed this into a 2008 Saturn Sky. I bought the CANBUS integration module separately, and with that, I got all of my steering wheel controls to work on the new head unit! The sound is awesome! I had the Mongoose amp factory installed and worked will with this device using the low input RCA jacks.I did have some technical issues with the rear camera that I also bought from ATOTO. I contacted their customer support. They were very responsive and helpful. With a system upgrade, all worked out well!Overall, ATOTO was a fantastic company to work with, and their product is high quality!
