I was impressed with the quality of this product
I love this product. I bought it to garnish a sweet corn risotto to add an extra level of flavor and sophistication. I'll definitely keep purchasing this product. One jar goes further than you think, unless it's your only ingredient in a pasta for more than 6 guests. It's about the size of a small spice bottle. Very full flavored.

Fresh summer truffle slices from Italy
I've only had truffles a few times before in dishes at restaurants. I've never had them at home before! These taste really good and fresh. I added them to buttered pasta. And also scrambled eggs. You get a 2.9 oz container. It's a decent size and lasts multiple meals! You must use within 7 days of opening!

Truffles not to buy
These truffles taste old and have a sour chemical taste. A complete waste of money since Amazon says these truffles are non returnable. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase these. Very disappointed.

Smaller than expected
Haven't had a chance to cook with it yet but seems like it is well preserved.

Incredible!!!
I absolutely loved these gourmet truffles!! I am not a huge cook but can follow recipes and occasionally try new ones. I had never used truffles to cook before, and they're not something I would think to buy given the cost, even though I'm a big mushroom fan. I used these to make the pasta pictured, which was sort of an improvisation after looking at several pasta recipes that include truffles. It tasted like it came from an expensive Italian restaurant! For anyone interested, I used fettucine with diced yellow onions, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary that I sauteed in a mixture of olive oil and (fake) butter. I added in some freshly shredded parmesan, salt, pepper, and then topped each bowl with extra parmesan and extra fresh rosemary. The jar itself had a nice presentation and even though it's small, there is enough to make at least two large pasta dishes with it. If you use less, you can obviously stretch this even farther, but once opened the rest of the truffles do need to be used within 2 weeks. The one issue I had was that many sources online mentioned that you need to clean truffles before using them-- some sites said to scrub with a dry brush and others said to run them under cool water. Since these were already sliced and in olive oil, I assumed they did not need to be cleaned or rinsed (and wasn't really sure how I would go about it if they did!) I would've liked to have seen something in the Amazon description or on the jar saying that these are clean and ready to eat and/or whether the oil can also be used in your recipes. I would buy these again and think they'd be especially great if cooking a celebratory meal, having a dinner party, etc. where you want to make something fancy!

Not quite what I was expecting
I was expecting whole truffles not preserved one. These are thinly sliced and in some sort of liquid, I think oil. My expectations were based on the images of whole sliced truffles on the website.Smelling the contents of the jar, I don't know if this is good or bad favor. A little hesitant to add these to any food. Not sure what to add this to. I guess I should try it on something.I think I would be less hesitant if these were whole truffles that were not preserved in fluid. Will update if I find the courage to use this in something.
