So much cheaper
I needed to replace the battery for my Ryobi hedge trimmer. The original Ryobi one that I bought only lasted two and a half years before it wouldn’t work any more. The Ryobi equivalent was over £80 to buy. This one was £26. I’ve only used it once but it does the job.

These are a good alternative on a budget
I bought 2 of these from Amazon about 7 years ago.They worked well and as good as my lesser 2ah official Ryobi batteries & they powered my tools for longer use than the 2ah Ryobi.As far as longevity, be sure to give them a charge every 3 months at least as when they run down beyond their minimum recharge voltage the charger won't recognise them as a working battery, as happened to one of my 2. As it wasn't charged for over a year when I went to use it it was unable to charge. This is not the fault of this battery! Or any other as they will all fail if not properly maintained by a 3 monthly maintenance charge by the user. I have Makita, Dewalt, Erbaur, Parkside tools & batteries, they will all go dud unless charged routinely every few months. So these Ryobi 3rd party batteries are fine for general use\DIY & are powerful enough for this purpose. If I'd remembered to charge my faulty one, I'd still have 2 working after 7 years! I'd say that was a good buy & have ordered the same again.
