These are pretty good for the price. Easy to assemble. When you’re using them as a barbell and have 2 sets of weights on each side, it does seem tricky to make sure both sides are constantly screwed in. The only other issue I have is I wish they offered separate weights so we could mix and match. I’ve started to just use them as dumbbells though and they’re excellent for that.

I’m trying to get back into better health on a budget. After purchasing an elliptical, a weight set seemed like the obvious next step. I expect a lot of people may be on the same wavelength with New Year’s resolutions and all. I’ve found that what I consider to be a standard (metal) set are prohibitively expensive leaving me to consider these cheaper plastic alternatives. I was immediately suspicious but but the bullet anyhow and I’m quite surprised at how decent they are, at least for a beginner. However, if I find I can stick to a workout schedule and need to upgrade to a heavier set I will probably splurge on a standard set.Pros- the dumbbell rods and barbell connector are quite sturdy; the clamps have a tightening locking mechanism; and frankly they just look coolCons- despite feeling sturdy the plastic is inherently more susceptible to warping; screwing the clamps or connector rod in either direction takes a lot of time so you’ll want to pre-plan and keep the same setup for each workout session; the dumbbells are quite large and clunky; the barbell is on the short side and likely will not suffice for certain exercises especially with larger people; it doesn’t have that same metal sound which throws the vibe off a bit

They must have changed a few things between other people's order and my order. The locking nuts definitely work, and that have a little crimp down lever on them to make them extra tight after you've already tightened them. These ones won't come lose.I do wish you could buy individual components, I may just get a second set though.The dumbbells themselves are not padded, I ended up padding them myself with some soft foam tubing meant for pipes. Not the cheap foam, but more of a memory foam one

I bought this weight set for my Fiance and it’s perfect!! You have dumbbells and can turn it into a full squatting bar very easily! I really like the octagon shape, keeps it from rolling around! Overall very satisfied with this set!

Great way to have dumbells and a barbell without taking up a ton of space. Only downside is the weights are in KGs instead of LBs, so I had to-calculate my exercises. It was a minor inconvenience, and I have been using them happily since!

I really like this dumbbell set as it is very versatile and easy to assemble. It can be used a single unit or broken down into two separate weights. As a personal trainer, with a small group of people that I train, it gets the the job done as I'm not training people to become body builders, just people who want to tone down and stay in decent shape.
