Bought18x, swear by it.
Works better on natural odors than synthetic ones. Best for urine, body odor, food aromas, and pet smells. Not great on chemical perfumes and fragrances. Fragranced detergents or stain removers in the wash seem to interfere with results. Directions say not to pre-soak with it, but I do anyway and have found much better results. Ran into issues with it not dissolving when I moved and changed washing machines. The volume of water, temperature, and other additives are all factors to consider in the load. - I now use a half portion with pre-soak for regular loads, and a full scoop with pre-soak for the extra stinky ones.

It works to get gasoline out of clothing!
It works! My daughter got a lot of gasoline on her outfit--cotton blue jeans and a black polyester/cotton sweatshirt. Per a tip from another website, I hung the smelly clothing outdoors for 24 hours before laundering. When I brought them in, I could tell that most of the gasoline had evaporated. Most. I then laundered them with Tide Unscented liquid laundry detergent (enough for a medium load in my HE front loader) plus one scoop of the OdorKlenz Laundry Additive Powder. I put my liquid detergent in its usual compartment, and tossed the scoop of dry OdorKlenz in the drum beside the two garments. Then I ran the load on my machine's heavy duty cold water cycle set at a medium spin rather than the heavy duty high spin, because that is gentler on the fabric. The faded blue jeans and the black sweatshirt came out fresh and clean, and without any bleaching or color bleed. Highly recommend this product. By the way, the reason for not laundering things before airing out is that there is a slight risk of flames, especially if you use a gas powered drier near your laundry machine. If you can't hang things outside, try using the presoak method before laundering. If you contact OdorKlenz customer service or read the Amazon dot com q&a's for this product, you might find tips on that.

Not what I expected
Have fragrance allergies. This works better than vinegar & baking soda, but have had to soak cloths 3 times now to get the fragrances out of them. Was expecting it to work better.

Works for urine smell
My son mixed his regular clothes with his wet pee sheets and it didn't take long for ALL his clothes to be infected with the smell of urine. It was terrible. After trying every DIY solution, I came across this product and the smell has been removed from most items with just ONE WASH. I was SO relieved! I have a HE front-loader and it took a while to get the dose right but totally worth it. The first few doses ended up too thick and weren't dissolving in the wash, so I cleaned out the tray and started over. I'm concerned about potential build-up so I alternate loads (one with, two without additive) and regularly run the tub clean option. So far so good.

Didn't work for me
I needed to get a sulfur smell out of some clothing. Saw the product and figured if it cost this much, it had to be good. Wrong. It did not work. Clothes still smell like sulfur and when I took the laundry out of the washer, I found the powdered additive in hard chunks at the bottom of the washer. Very disappointed. What a waste of my $50.00!

Effective, so thankful to have something that works so well!
My daughter has used many different products to get rid of the chemicals used to make laundry soap smell "good" and nothing this far had worked, except this. We have purchased this more than once. It's expensive, but effective, so it's definitely worth it to us. We use an unscented laundry soap (Seventh Generation free & clear) and put a scoop or two of the OdorKlenz in each wash. Clothes come out free from scent! It's wonderful.

Totally necessary for really awful smells
I use this in the wash for pee accidents. It's really effective...there's only 1 sheet that retains the smell after using this. So overall I love this because without it the bedding was absolutely gross and couldn't purge the smell. I have bought this at least 20x...it's expensive but it works and it's cheaper than replacing the laundry.

Just Use Vinegar
It works but it leaves gross clumps behind no matter how much or little I use. I haven’t figured out how to prevent this. We have to clean out our softener tray after every use. Honestly, I think just plain old vinegar does the exact same thing with zero mess!

I have a super keen sense of smell. The sorts of laundry products most people use smell outrageous to me, awful. When I buy used clothes, they always smell of these perfumed detergents. This product is the only thing I have found that really can take out those chemical smells. Wonderful!
