I have been using Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL in my Citroen C1 for many years now and it has become my go to choice. Despite being a small car, my C1 can be surprisingly greedy when it comes to oil consumption. I have found that this specific synthetic oil manages that appetite much better than cheaper alternatives. I’ve been using Castrol EDGE 5W-30 LL to top up my Seat Ibiza 1.2 Tech every 6 months, and I’ve been very happy with the results. The engine seems to run smoothly and consistently, with no issues between services. I’ve previously used the Halfords own-brand oil, but in my experience, Castrol EDGE feels like the better product. While it’s difficult to measure the difference exactly, my engine appears to run better and gives me greater confidence that it’s getting the protection it needs. The 1L bottle is perfect for topping up when required, and the oil meets the correct specifications for many modern vehicles.
