The product was advertised as a fully compatible replacement for the Pentair IC-40; however, new fittings are required, it has a 120 volt plug-in and in-line transformer, replacing the 220 connection on the IC-40, and no owner's or installation manual. Totally unacceptable. I would have liked to have that information prior to purchase. I would not recommend this product to anybody unless they are prepared to hire both an electrician and PVC installer, which would bring the actual price to about what I would pay for a new Pentair IC-40.

Put these into the middle of my filter. Looks to work well. hard to tell the as the tub was just filled with fresh water. I will update in a month or so see how it looks,
