Perfect paint sticks!
These are our favorite paint sticks! They are easy to use, amazing pigment and color options and most of all so fun for kids to use! The paint wipes off any surface super easily too which is great for toddlers and young kids!

Delightful to Use
These are awesome for journaling or for no-mess fun. They dry quickly (not good for blending, but great for layering) and are pretty opaque, especially in layers. Don’t expect precision; they are clunky and it can be hard to get a precise edge since they are so creamy and shaped like a glue stick (they twist up like one too). There are also imperfections in the paint itself - I was getting purple streaks in my grey blue, which happened to present itself in my color swatch so you can see. It’s annoying to cover back up, but for my uses it’s not a big deal. I didn’t find the color labels they come with to be exactly useful and some of the colors on the box don’t match what the colors actually look like. It’s always good to swatch your colors anyway. I labeled them regular names that I thought made sense since I’ll be sharing them, but I am also trying to learn watercolor painting using Winsor paints, so on my color swatch I did my best to approximate the color matches for my own learning. These are pretty pastel colors, portable, fun and easy to use, and even brown paper bags from the store or Amazon shipping paper become canvas material with these. I just ordered the regular color set too!

Perfect for the kid who wants to paint without the paint mess
These tempera paint sticks for kids are fantastic! The color range is vibrant and perfect for all kinds of creative projects. They’re super easy to use and clean up, even on windows—just wipe away any excess paint. The quality is excellent, and they work great on paper, canvas, and windows. The value is amazing, with plenty of paint in each stick, and the size is perfect for little hands. Highly recommend for young artists!

Lovely colors if the yellows are a bit pale
I really enjoy tempera sticks and I wanted pastels for a while especially for their blues and greens! These are lovely, but the yellows on their on are a bit more pale than I was expecting. On toned paper or layers they would be absolutely, they layer well and dry quickly! Fun to use as an adult who likes to do art journaling for larger pieces or quick playing around. They kind of act like oil pastels in a way but don't blend when dried so you have to work quickly if you do want to blend them. Work well with classic colors as well. Really having fun with them.

Not just for kids...
I know tempera paint sticks are mostly intended for kids because they're washable, but I like them for adding to amateur watercolors in my sketchbook or for journaling. This set offers a nice range of pastel hues, so they're good for supplementing landscapes. But they could also be used for journal spreads and adult coloring books. They're pretty opaque and a bit waxy, adhering well. You could easily build up layers to get a look that more resembles oil paints. They dry quickly, though, so you have to work fast. I have not color tested them, but that's not an issue for my use. My set came with a free set of gel crayons that I use similarly. They were a good value for the price.

Great colors, nice consistency, easy to blend
The media could not be loaded. When working with kids, it's a challenge to achieve subtle, natural colors and blends! We used these for a prairie-themed moving panorama (AKA Crankie) workshop at a community art venue and it was so great to have subtle colors! Some other brands of tempera sticks either won't blend with water or are greasy or chunky. These are very nice, go on smoothly, dry quickly, and easily reanimate with a damp sponge to blend. Did I mention how much I loved the colors?! The images show the backlit panorama, which was drawn on a roll of white Tyvek. The Tyvek gives a recycled-looking feathery texture throughout.

Beautiful Fun Free creative expression! ALL ages!! Adults too!
We love these! I use them much like a child... SO fun! But my 22 year old daughter uses them carefully using the edges to make different sized bold, uniform lines to create beautiful artwork. They last a long time! Check YouTube for examples... although I haven't seen anyone use them like my daughter has managed to do. Love the pastels! A few are a bit darker like a light olive green or medium purple but most are a much lighter than the regular colors. Beautiful colors! We have those as well. Fun, free creative expression
