This item, seems to be well made and a decent price. I didn't come with screws or anything to install it. I ordered this by mistake and don't have anything to use it with. Unfortunately, I can't use it and can't give a better review.

This product looks great, which is why I purchased it. However, it states that it fits Google Nest Thermostat 1st/2nd/3rd versions. But it only works with Nest Learning Thermostat. I bought it and couldn't use it.

I have been using a Nest thermostat for 6 years now. I started with the 2nd generation Nest and recently upgraded to the 3rd generation Nest thermostat. My issue is that the thermostat I initially replaced was larger than the plate cover included with Nest thermostats. The previous owner didn't take the old thermostat off when painting. I had a strip of white paint that was constantly exposed. I didn't have cans of tan paint and didn't want to completely re-paint my living area.I decided to try this Nest cover plate and it did exactly what I wanted: took up a bit more space to cover the original white paint. I also prefer the rounded sides of this cover compared to the rectangle of the official cover. The Nest thermostat is round, each iteration and release has always been round. I'm not sure why there's a rectangle plate cover included with each Nest.I highly recommend this if you want a larger plate cover and/or want something that's more aesthetically pleasing. It was easy to install, as easy as the official plate cover. Just rout your wires through the opening, clip them into the Nest mount, screw that into the exposed stud, and you're done. It took me 2 minutes to swap out my old cover for this one. It would have taken even less time, but the labels fell off my HVAC wires so I had to go by a picture I took.
