LEGO Classic Bricks and Gears 10712 Building Kit (244 Pieces)

I love that this is a classic set that isn’t meant to build one thing and one thing only. The possibilities are endless! And for the younger kids who are still learning, there’s a booklet with ideas and instructions. Super glad I bought this set. I’ll definitely be getting her another one soon!

Really love the mix of gears and classic bricks. LEGO really should do more of this. It's a shame LEGO doesn't offer sets with gears, shafts and other engineering pieces, that sell separately from the technic motors. Would really love to see more of this!The builds in the booklet are also great. Lots of variety in the gear configurations, but still very simple.Please make more sets like this!

This is a very neat LEGO set! The gears make it a lot of fun. It comes with a few ideas to get you started and then you can come up with your own things to build. It really sparks creativity! Great set! I love the moving pieces!

Such a great set of legos, it has some nice unique pieces that make creating even more fun! The options are endless here. This set is a great addition to all Lego lovers collections.

This is a good set, but I don't like that they don'e give you all the instructions in the book. You are directed to access other instructions online, but I found that to be a bit cumbersome to have to then keep a device nearby, have access to wifi, search for the instructions (not that easy), and then keep propped up to see. All this with a 5 year old. The whole point of buying legos is for my son to "do" something with his mind and hands, and not be on a device.

We LOVE LEGO Classic Bricks and Gears. I have bought a second set to add to the collection of LEGO Classic sets that my four-year-old great-grandson and I build with on his weekly day with me. This was necessary because he doesn’t want to take apart his last creations and we carefully preserve them to play with again. He loves that the gears give mobility to multiple things like helicopter rotors and rock drills, even a sunflower garden. We love the carefully thought out instructions that a four year old can follow (with just a little help from Mema). This is truly a creative educational toy for the budding engineers everywhere.

I am an adult that does not have Legos and this set was perfect for my situation. The kids I work with were able to build quite a few things using just the pieces in this set and some of the designs are pretty cool. This set will be more exciting for less advanced Lego users. The kids I work with are 6-8 years old and all were able to easily build the designs in the instruction manual.

My 9 year old loved receiving this set. It includes unusual pieces in classic colors. It has really expanded what he is able to make with his Lego collection.
