After getting checked by a leather specialist I have received the good and the bad news.The bad news is that it's made out of top grain leather, not full grain, which means the top grain has been split or sanded off to give it a smoother look and then stained. This can be identified from the stitching, which is machine made. Full grain leather, is 5mm thick, which does not allow for a machine to follow precise lines as you see on this bag, meaning only one thing. This bag is made out of top grain, which is 2-3mm.The good news is that for the design, stitching, and amount of leather used, even it being top grain the price is quite good and worth the money.It was recommended to me to buy a water protection spray from a nearby leather store to extend this bag's life.Preferably made by Fiebing's

My Lannsyne in black which fits 12.9” iPad arrived in one day from Amazon. Excellent service. Before ordering, I read several posts. For the purpose of sharing my experiences with this Lannsyne cross body for men Sling Bag for those reading my review and those from others whose experiences gave me pause but I appreciated one particular review that persuaded me to order this model despite one reviewer who claimed his 12.9 only fit without a case and was scratched by the closing zipper. My M1- iPad 12.9” Pro is encased with a fairly thick case with keyboard and an Apple “Pencil” which fits without any difficulty and is not scratched by the closing zipper pulls. Additionally, reviewers who experienced trouble closing/opening pouches with the model’s zippers closed and opened without any difficulty.While my Tami fanny pack is well made, the size is limited. I typically carry an Apple 12 Pro Max iPhone in a Story Leather thick case, and one of their folding leather wallets, expensive sun glasses in a soft case, reading glasses in a hard case, KeySmart key holder, car electronic “key”, small flashlight, The James Brand The Mehlville carabiner loaded with various utility accessories, a small but perfect thermos for keeping hot and cold that way; and it all fits effortlessly with room to spare. Of course, with a fanny pack I have to wear a jacket with inside pockets and stuff them given how limited a fanny pack can be. Yes, the Lannsyne provides the storage in one carry, and occupies more of me than around the waist fanny pack. But I don’t always carry my iPad with me (now I can). The Lannsyne appears well made. The materials are of a satisfactory quality and the fabrication brand new appears as well made as one would wish. If I get a touch claustrophobic, I just swing the Lannsyne off one shoulder and not cross my body. The options are many. The scale compared to a more modest carry is obviously more. Might take get used to But, while my experience is just the same day delivery impressions, I can honestly recommend this product, if it what it offers suits your needs. For my needs, it’s a keeper

As a type II diabetic, I needed something to put the many extra things I have to carry with me when I go out. I got a small carrying pouch, but quickly outgrew it. I tried several laeger ones but they were way too big. Some were big enough but had flaps over the top making it inconvenient to get into in the car or at a restaurant. This bag is the right size and has zipper entry to its many pockets making it easy to get into. It's so good to have that I'll never go back to using a pocket wallet. Oh, and I have a pocket for my wallet if in insist on having one.

My only concern with this bag (and I am making it work) is that it seems smaller than the one I was replacing. The compartments that hold my papers and such are just right for holding the papers, but if I put them in a folder, I have to cut the folder down a bit to make it fit. I really like all the compartments and the bag seems really sturdy. I am replacing another bag (that I liked) but that the strap kept breaking (different brand). It looks like I will NOT have that problem with THIS bag.

This is above by far the best pack I have ever bought. It has so much space and I have a really bad back and it distributes the load of what I put in it evenly so that it doesn't hurt my back. I am able to carry both of my android tablets both 11 inches in this bag, two full size notebooks and 3 stenobooks plus my pens and misc.and still have plenty of room and it's leather. I bought it in black and now I am planning to buy it in brown also.
