I wish I had known a long time ago that you could swap out wheels this easily. I changed the plastic wheels on my standard office chair with these Ticonn wheels and wow what a difference! These are rubber or rubberized so on my hardwood floor they run super smoothly, with ZERO noise, and they don't do any damage to the floor. There's no need for a protective chair mat on the floor with these wheels, and as a matter of fact these wheels are actually less than a protective chair mat anyway.The other advantage of these is how smoothly they roll and allow for the chair to move. There's a significant difference between these and the original plastic wheels. I bought another set of cheaper replacement wheels that were about $10 here on Amazon, but while they're better than the original chair wheels, they don't even come close to the quality of these Ticonn wheels. I'll get rid of the $10 ones I bought, and get another set of the Ticonns. Even though they were more expensive, the step up in quality is huge. Going forward, I'm going to replace the wheels on any new chair I purchase. The replacement in my case didn't require any tools, just put the chair on it's side, pull the old wheels out by hand and pop these in. Super simple, and again a significant improvement.

I had desk chair mat’s, several types and brands non worked well always slid no matter the product, etc. These wheels took care of all issues. They are quiet, roll with ease, and hold up very well. Excellent purchase bought more for all gaming or desk chairs in the home and got rid of waste of money mats.

These casters are very good. They swivel and roll perfectly. These were used to replace some terrible casters on a shop stool and these new ones are a great improvement. They roll smoothly and work better than expected on a concrete surface.

I ordered these not knowing I have an Ikea chair upon turning it over. These are 7/16 shank and Ikea some metric size. Went to the garage grabbed 7/16 bit and bored all five holes. The five starfish base is made of plastic so very easy to do. Could not slip the shank in the hole due to the spring ring not compressing. Back to the garage for a 1/2 inch countersink. A little chamfer on all holes and the wheels popped right in. Smooth sailing now. I don't usually leave comments but I am a happy camper now. Highly recommend these wheels for your chair.

I replaced my aftermarket skate style wheels because it was read that they can dent flooring due to their limited surface area that is in contact with. These don’t roll nearly as nice. They work ok.

These are very good quality, better than the standard black wheel assembly i bought a few years ago that failed. Chair now rolls to smoothly and wheels have very little resistance and chair will move by its self easly on an unlevel surface.

These wheels are just what I was looking for. We replaced the carpeting in our house with luxury vinyl plank and the floor shop recommended changing the plastic wheels that came on my desk chair to rubber wheels.These double casters have a smaller diameter than sing roller-blade type wheels and are perfect for my chair. Other wheels would have raised the height of my chair.
