This thing is useless if you don't have set schedules. I'm not exaggerating, it can't be used if people have a flexible schedule. All I want is a super basic way for people to sign in and out and this is not capable of that. I was hoping to make tracking time simpler with this. Worst of all, IT CAN NOT BE RETURNED so you are stuck with it.

Biometrics is accurate. Be nice if was touch screen but for small company or company where employees stay the same for long periods of time it's worth it The only hassle was inputting information the first time but it works well

I help operate a small thrift store and we have several part time employees. We generally use paper timecards and the burglar alarm sign-in and outs help keep the employees honest if there is ever any question. When I saw this low-priced electronic timekeeper, I thought it might be a great option for us.When I received it, I was anticipating good things. Indeed, it seems to have some functionality. You can program through a menu on the timeclock itself, but it also wants you to use a thumb drive with what I understand to be an older format on it. The timeclock has rigid timeframes for employee schedules and so any variation will cause an anomaly. Ultimately, this thing is going to take some technical knowledge and unfortunately our manager isn't quite there: her gifts are best used elsewhere.All of that to say, it became too complicated for regular use. Which means it is no longer sitting on the counter but in a cabinet. I can't recommend this unit because it's too complicated for our use - and feels like it would take more time figuring out payroll than our current system.

Update after one week of use.1. Fingerprint reader is not of good quality. Requires several attempts.2. No description for selecting date-range for downloading data. Auto selects from beginning of the month. Posed a Q to this effect twice so far, no response yet.Simple basic function. No battery backup so has to be used in a fixed location. Short power cord. Read included papers for unprotect password, not the Amazon product description!!
