Canon MF462df
This is my 2nd Canon image class printer and love it. My first one is still working after 10 years but now has broken hinge and driver out of date but still using it till toner runs out. I love new one and will be buying another in 10 years.

Unbox Upon Receipt
I screwed up. I waited until our window replacement work was complete and things were back in order to get the printer out of its box - just outside of the 30-day window - and I've discovered the printer is a dud.The DetailsAfter unboxing, the printer powered up. But after updating a startup setting that required a printer restart, the new printer wouldn't power up. I spent hours searching for a possible cause related to the setting change. Nothing.Having tried all sorts of things - including a hard reset - I gave up.Hours later and without prompting it sprung to life. I have idea how or why.I did manage to get it connected to the wireless network and even test print something, so I was hopeful. Maybe I hadn't wasted time/money.I left it on as I grabbed dinner. The next time I saw it, it had powered off. "It's just an energy saving thing. It'll be fine tomorrow," I convinced myself. And for a brief moment in time, it was fine. The next morning, it powered on. I thought maybe I needed to update the firmware. And so I started to process of updating the firmware. Whether or not it actually updated, I have no idea, because it hasn't powered up again since.Of course, now I'm trying to register the device on the Canon USA website.Except when trying to register, I hit a snag: "The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S."Imagine my surprise. So I double- and triple-checked the information on the back of the printer and compared it to Canon's helpful little image showing where to find the S/N and what the alphanumerics should be.Nope. It looks like I have the correct number. But just in case, let's find some other help. Let's check the Canon Community forum!Register.Get the "verification" email.Hit the link.Go back to the Canon Community forum and be greeted with: "You must first register product before you can ask someone (how to register your product".Great.-Got through to Canon customer service. I'm suitably impressed. A new printer is being sent tomorrow with overnight delivery, and I just have to use that box to send it back. I'm hoping the replacement works. Fingers crossed. Will update when it arrives.

Canon Printer worth every dollar
We love this Canon Class printer. It is so easy to use for work and home. I've had it for about one year and still have the same cartridge! It's a good price for your dollar.

Great printer when it wants to connect!
I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. The printer works great! .... When it wants to connect. The printing, scanning, multi functionality is fantastic....when it wants to connect. Then I cannot stop each time it decides to connect it goes through a test print cycle and wastes paper and I have to reload five sheets every single time. Drivers don't fix it. Connecting USB doesn't fix it. There aren't many settings that allow me to mitigate the issue of connectivity. Printers have always had issues, and I guess it will continue to be like this through the entirety of civilization. I have to restart the printer and my PC to get it to connect. It makes no sense. Printers will never make sense to me.

I like the speed and 2-sided copying
As the headline says the speed and ability to copy 2-sided documents is great. Although the whole idea of using a FAX seems outdated, there have been occasions when I need to fax a document - and fax is the most secure way to electronically send a document.I have wired ethernet in my home office so I just plugged in the network cable and the printer grabbed an IP address from my router (via DHCP) and was ready to go. It was immediately available to print from my iPhone. As some reviewers said the software installation can be a little confusing. One of the steps is to choose one (or more) drivers for the printer. There really is no simple description between the 3 drivers to help you decide. I chose all three and ended up with 3 different Canon printers showing in my Windows 11 PC. I just used the first one to print and it works just fine. I'll probably remove the other 2 to avoid confusion. I recommend you just choose the first driver unless you know what the others do.One of my first uses was to print some address labels. I really liked the ability to load more than one blank label pages in the secondary feeder rather than the usual one-at-a-time found on my old multi-function printer. The back of the printer opens up to keep the label pages from curling up and possibly jamming the printer. When I first tried labels for some reason the printer thought there was a paper jam (there wasn't) and the process of clearing the jam was a little crazy. The screen required me to go through a bunch of steps and keep pressing next. I couldn't figure out how to circumvent all the steps and it 'sensed' when I completed each step - like take out the toner cartridge. The touch screen could use a lot of improvement. If you are used to using a smart phone screen you will be a little frustrated with this printer's screen. I doesn't seem to work all the time. Did I press that button already? Why didn't that work? Just slow down and use deliberate presses to avoid some frustration.I purchased this during Prime Days at an extremely attractive price. I look forward to trying out more of the features such as 2-sided scanning and higher resolution printing. I still wonder if it will do 2-sided fax too.

Yes
This printer is exactly what I needed. I've been using an HP and it can't handle large jobs. For the money this printer is worth every penny
