Had to punch wiring holes into steel studs, some .1” thick. Uni-bits are pore choice. Machined an adapter for the 2” punch to use the 7/16 pull stud. That is all that is need to punch 26-gauge steel. I needed ≈900 holes in my steel eve soffit for vents. Just hand Punch a .5” hole for the stud than the knockout punch, No drilling required.
