Polished Brass and Chrome Victorian Mushroom Rim Door Knobs 50mm (Brass)

Well made, attractive knob set. None of the horrible looseness and rattles that you get from some cheap rim latch knob sets. Would be nicer if it came with traditional slot head screws rather that pozi, but that's a minor thing that is easily changed later.

These are a good quality item, easy to install and represent value for money.

These door knobs really look quality. They appear to be solid brass rather than plated. They were easy to fit, with one problem. On the set I had, the thread for the grub screw had not been cleanly cut. I could not get the supplied brass grub screw to go in more than a couple of millimetres. I managed to resolve the problem by using a similarly-sized STEEL grub screw to tap the hole properly. Once I had done this, I was able to insert the brass grub screw successfully. If I hadn't had a set of steel grub screws to hand, I would have been sending the product back. You may find that you do not have this problem and I still recommend this product for its otherwise excellent build quality.

Look good, easy to fit, did the job of replacing an old set of knobs which had failed. Reasonably priced and appear well made.

It is very nicely made, very heavy and appears to be excellent quality. The drawback I had, which may effect other users, was that the spindle was a millimetre or two too wide to fit through the last remaining Edwardian lock in the house. I used non-spindled knob with a few bits cobbled together from other locks, but the rest of the lovely assembly is now in the cellar in the bits and bobs box.
