These are genuine motorcraft plugs. Older plugs with differnt fonts were made in Honduras pre-2010. These plugs were assembled in Mexico City at the DF ford plant. My ford dealership had the same exact plugs in stock with the new fonts like these sold here on Amazon. People, use proper anti sieze grease and factor spec torque. These are great oe plugs! They are legit Ford Motorcraft oe plugs. Use only motorcraft platnium plugs and change them every 95k miles in your 5.4 3v trition.

This was the replacement spark plug to the old style that had problems getting stuck in the cylinder. This was the easiest spark plug installation of all my Fords, this being a 2010 F150 with the 5.4L engine.

Use these for mid-year 2008 and newer 5.4 three valve engine applications. Ford redesigned the heads on this engine to eliminate the spark plug breakage problem. The new heads are great and were introduced to production 5.4 three valve engines in May of 2008. You can identify if you have the new design heads by pulling one of the coil packs. If the boot is brown, you are in luck, you have the new heads. If the boot is black, I'm sorry to say you have the old head design. Those requires a different spark plug and you must be very careful when removing not to break the spark plug extension off in the cylinder head. That can be a very expensive repair.
