Get this book of you respect the Old Testament.

Very scholarly, well thought out and put together in an easy to understand and thought provoking manner. The Greek Septuagint is in places more accurate than the Hebrew Masoretic Text that is the underlying text that was used to make the Old Testament in our current Bibles. It is good to know this and Douglas Woodward does a masterful job of explaining it. It doesn't mean the Bible isn't the word of God! On the contrary, it sheds light on how God has preserved the truth of the texts. Thank you S. Douglas Woodward!

This is the third book of Doug's that I have bought. It very high quality with a wonderful hardcover, the pages are nice and thick, there's lots of colour photos. The book is very readable with nice large letters. More importantly, the content will help guide Christians to God's Word which was muted by the Rabbis in the 2nd century, in an attempt to stem the number of Jews finding Christ. The Septuagint is an important part of Christians rediscovering all of God's whole word, something we can't get solely from the adulterated Hebrew Masoretic.
