Fun toy, but not 400 games
I grew up in the days before the Game Boy so I missed out on much of what it had to offer. In my day, for handheld games we only had LED-light-based football games that, unless you actually played one in the day, it would be hard to describe why we enjoyed them so much (and how they made you BMOC if you brought one to school). When this little device popped up in my feed, I knew I had to give it a try since most of my favorite games from the Atari 2600 made their way onto the Game Boy in one format or another and I looked forward to playing them.I was not disappointed! Joust is here, along with Defender. There is a decent pinball game and all the platformers you can possibly imagine (including one of the first I ever played on my family's Apple IIe, Karateka). However, there are not 400 different games here. Around game 230 in the library, the games begin to repeat so there are lots of duplicates. Nonetheless, at this price point, this is still a pretty neat piece of kit considering there are somewhere around 230-ish unique games and it will take you a really long time to play them all.I sat down and played a goodly number of them one evening to see how well these versions ported to this little gaming device and I only came across 2 that didn't port very well, where one had a boxing ring that was only rendered halfway and another where land masses under one's helicopter kept disintegrating into pixels. Otherwise, the games worked well and the controls on the device functioned as expected. With no instructions for any of the games, it is a bit of "press this button and see what it does" when you start a new game. I played a whole inning of baseball as the wrong team, for instance. The overall device is pretty basic and the buttons don't feel anywhere near the quality of a true Game Boy, but again - at this price point, who cares? It does come with a charging cord (but no plug for the wall, a common "feature" nowadays of USB-powered devices). The lithium battery that comes with it has some staying power - I've played games for a couple of days and have yet to need to charge the unit.It also comes with a video/audio out cord that is about 2.5 feel long, so it would be pretty difficult to connect that to any TV and use it without going blind by being too close to the TV. But give the thing props for having a video out feature. The onboard speaker is adequate for the job and the whole Game Boy music experience is charming. The screen on the device is adequate and clear. I felt no need to connect to an external device.Given its price point, I really didn't expect much. I would have given it 5 stars if it actually had 400 unique games. Lots of vintage game fun here for a very small price. Highly suggested if the lack of unique games doesn't cause you stress.

Negativo
No me gustó juegas y si te sales o apagas no queda guardada la partida lo que hace luego nada interesante, el cable de cargar muy débil. Pero por el precio pues pasa, pero no vuelvo a comprar esto no es agradable

Blank screen after 1 month
Bought for my child. Wasn’t beat up or anything. Charged regularly. Started to glitch and now just a solid white screen. Hoping to get in touch with seller for a replacement option. We bought a red one for my other child and no issues with that one so far and same exact usage. Wondering how long that will last.

Fun system, some good games many not so good games, controller isn’t ideal
This is an interesting little device. It’s basically a Gameboy-style case with an emulator and a bunch of games pre-installed. On the top edge there’s a sliding on/off switch, a mini-USB charging port, and an output jack for RCA video and audio (using the included cable you can display the games on your TV).On the left edge there’s a tiny volume dial. Around back there’s a battery door for installing the included rechargeable battery (which looks very similar to a cell phone battery). On the front you’ve got the screen, a D-pad, a reset button, select and start buttons, and 4 action buttons labeled A, B, X, and Y.Once you’ve got the battery charged (using the included USB to mini-USB cable… you’ll have to supply the AC adapter or other USB power source), you turn the system on by sliding the power button on the top edge. Every time you turn the system on or use the reset button to change games you’ll first be presented with a screen where you have to choose Chinese or English. This is a little annoying but not a big deal.Once you select your language you are put into the menu listing the 400 games. You scroll up and down through the games with the D-pad, and you can flip through them faster by using the left and right D-pad controls to skip whole pages at a time. The games aren’t very well organized as they seem to be setup in random groups where you might see 30 or 40 games in a row organized alphabetically, but then you’ll get into the next grouping and the alphabet will start over. So… it’s a little tricky to quickly find what you’re looking for unless you’ve memorized what page the game is listed on.You’ll find lots of familiar games listed… along with some duplicates and a bunch that you’ve likely never heard of. So, don’t expect to really want to play 400 different games, but there is enough variety that you can’t really complain for the price. As far as I can tell most of the games are ROMs from the NES… so it’s a little surprising that this can even be sold on Amazon… but I guess that’s not your problem. Some of the included titles are Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Contra, Rush N Attack, Ice Climbers, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Defender, 1942, Dr. Mario, Solomon’s Key, Bubble Bobble, Jackal, and Joust. The system has no save game memory so games that use a battery for saving (such as The Legend of Zelda) are not included. Furthermore, since there is no save memory you also can’t use save states on the other games like you might be used to doing on other handhelds or emulators. The volume gets plenty loud, although there isn’t a way to connect headphones. The screen isn’t great and certain colors can get washed out if you hold it at the wrong angle, but again, for this price it’s adequate. The biggest issue with this system is the D-pad. The D-pad doesn’t have any kind of central pivot point that prevents the opposite direction of the pad from being pressed. What this means is that you can actually press down all 4 directions at once, which can happen quite easily if you are pressing a diagonal direction just because the entire pad tends to depress when you are doing diagonal moves. For instance, if you are wanting to move up and to the left normally you’d be pressing the up and left arrows at the same time, which would cause them to raise the opposite direction arrows away from the unit… but on this system since there’s no pivot point what ends up happening is the whole pad just presses inward, activating all 4 arrows at the same time. The result is that in the game you might need to dodge an enemy but instead your character will just freeze until you let off the D-pad and then move with one direction at a time. It’s not a complete deal-killer for all of the games but it definitely hinders the experience for some of them. So, for this price it’s a fun way to play some tiny versions of classic NES games (and the arcade ports that came to NES). The controller isn’t great, the screen isn’t great, the menus aren’t great, and there’s a lot of stuff you probably won’t play… but if you’re looking for a little gizmo to keep yourself or a kid entertained here and there without breaking the bank then this might be the ticket… just don’t set your expectations too high.
