Excellent tool which performs well, looks physically similar to lumberjack’s version other than the plastic colourings and a slightly different hand wheel but is £50 or so less. Probably the same chinese manufacturer.. Would recommend for home DIY use.

I have only used a 1/4 dia shaft bearing guided router bit to trim the soundboard on a musical instrument that Iam making.Very pleased with the results so far, My only concern would be for anyone who has never used this type of machine before I could find no mention in the operating instructions about the spindle lock lever or the spindle height locking nut.

Only came with 2 collets even though 3 are shown on the box. Unlike the lumberjack branded version it doesn’t come with bit holders on the sides. It’s not square between the fence and table, the plastic rings catch on the workpiece so have to sand the edge. The fence is adjusted with 2 separate screw knobs so you have to keep it square yourself using 2 stickers. The workpiece seems to move as it leaves the first fence, and the spindle moves at the end of the adjustment but isn’t actually centered anyway. I have no idea how the good is supposed to work with the feather boards. And the usual bad manual bad at least the English is understandable.

I have worked with wood professionally all my working life ,48 years to be precise so what can I say other than poor quality ,the on/off safety flap was broken,one of the bolts was loose & not able to be tightened . the router itself wobbled around & the router bit when inserted did not sit 90 degrees to the work surface .

Extremely pleased with this purchase. Looking forward to using it in anger.

Love the whole thing, it's sturdy & as an entry level kit it's loaded

I love this machine. I find it easy to use, changing the router cutters is a doddle, as is raising and lowering the router motor and speeding up or slowing down the spindle speed. There are a few gripes. If you want to do really accurate work, then you'll probably find the raising and lowering mechanism too imprecise. Also, the method for moving the fence back and forth is a bit rough and ready. A better system might have been to put wheels on either side of the machine so that you could move the fence with more precision. That however would increase the price. So, for £200 quid, you get a machine that is robust, reliable, easy to use and accurate enough for most D.I.Y. work. It has enabled me to undertake projects which would have been much more difficult without it.

The equipment stopped working, I asked for support about warranty length, no reply
