Repair of a porter cf2800 cable twin head compressor
The lower cylinder's opening diameter to small to pass piston head. A fine cut, half round file removed enough to allow piston head to pass (without piston seal gasket installed).Piston ring gaskets were too large to fit piston head or the new cylinders, I ended up reinstalling old gaskets ( thankfully they were in serviceable shape).Valve plates worked as anticipated so the compressor's "failure to each pressure" was solved.Other than the unusable piston ring gasket issue and having to file both cylinder's lower opening it worked.Would suggest buying just valve plates and look around harder for OEM cylinders and piston gaskets.
