I'm currently an SPT on rotation and first learned about HawkGrips at the APTA conference in San Diego last year. A few of my classmates and I took the HG level 1 course (it was actually taught by a former Graston instructor who now does HawkGrip courses because he prefers the HawkGrip tools). Course was great and the tool I bought from them was great but the reason I'm writing a review is because the customer service/support is top knotch.I'm on my first rotation right now and someone actually stole my tool in the clinic. I wanted to keep practicing my IASTM skills on patients while on rotation so I bought a cheap knock off version from Amazon (it was maybe $40) and it just didn't cut it. I always wondered if there was a noticeable difference among IASTM tools since HawkGrip is the only brand I've tried, but the Amazon one just didn't feel the same in my hand, harder to grip, and I even noticed one of the edges wasn't perfectly smooth which you can imagine is a huge problem when you're using these tools over skin. I reached out to Val at HawkGrips who I'd meet at the conference, told her my situation, and she promptly helped me out with getting a new tool (the multiuse) with no hassle at all, and even with a discount. It was nice having someone who I'd actually met be immediately available and eager to help. She didn't refer me to someone who refers me to someone who refers me to someone etc. She took care of it right then and there. A+ company, will be buying more tools in the future.
