Our review is based on a month's experience with the unit. We purchased this to alleviate the early morning awakenings of our beloved cats and for the purpose of automatic feeding when we are away. The unit arrived safely and in good condition with the bowls, holders, and cord tucked away. Our recommendation is to wash the unit thoroughly before first use as the metal hopper may have some residual oil from pressing. Assembly is easy and we opted to use batteries for "backup". Though 3 "D" cells are recommended, we used the more readily available AA batteries with D-sized spacers. They won't last as long though rechargeables are easier to come by.Setup is equally straightforward and one can opt for 1-4 meals/day of varying amounts. We liked the large hopper size, large viewing window, and assuring spring loaded top which appears to be keeping our hungry bunch at bay. Portion sizes are easily managed in the menu and the number "4-5" equates to approximately 1/4 cup (the serving volume is listed in tablespoons in the manual). One feature we've liked about the unit is that the hopper evenly distributes the portions between the two bowels. Other automatic dry feeders tend to deliver unequal portion sizes. Additionally, we haven't experienced any clogs or problems with the unit, it is easy to clean, and maintain. One can record an optional 10 second greeting which activates with every feeding though it can accidentally get erased if one mistakes the record button for the adjacent unlock button. The panel unlock button seems wise to prevent accidental activation. The LCD has backlighting when the unlock button is pressed and manual meals are accomplished easily.Equally important was the unit functioned properly during a power outage, though if one were planning on using it without AC, I would recommend using D batteries. The only downside we've encountered is that the plastic bowl holders easily detach from the unit especially if it is picked up. This is a minor annoyance when moving the device from place to place, though it does facilitate easy cleaning. We highly recommend the Voluas automatic dry food feeder.

They can store enough food for several days and multiple feedings. It has proven dependable during a few power outages and surprising to me. There was no need to reset the clock. But the best feature of all is the voice recorder. I can record a message for my pet that plays before each feeding. He’s even learned his feeding schedule, and White by the bowl before the message plays.The theater is not only practical, but also fun, and in my opinion is perfect for any pet lover and their furry companion.Hi rating points after two months use;1. Easy to die and set up, have had for months now. The only thing I don’t like is the audio playback is not very good, otherwise works great.

I bought this for my 10-year old and 2-year old cats to help with their mealtime AM & PM and it’s been wonderful. Easy setup, haven’t stumbled upon any inconvenience so far. It’s always plugged and when the electricity is out the batteries kick in and it’s been great. I can see if the feeder is getting low on food so it helps me with the refill. Also, you can adjust the portion of up to 5 settings of meal and that’s a plus. It has helped with the weight of the cats.The only “inconvenience” is that the speaker is on the bottom, so the voice recording sounds muffled. Other than that, I’ve been recommending it to friends and family who are working 8-12hrs a day 🫶🏽

This is a great automatic feeder! There are multiple options - you can program it for up to 4 feedings a day. Just have to select the times & amount of food dispensed at each time. You can also record a message to play before each one.. right now ours says "Girls come eat, it's time for dinner" 😂It is very convenient, especially when we are away from home for more than a day.. I don't have to worry about the cats running out of dry food.Also, just to note, there are no instructions or manual included.. but it was pretty easy to figure it out and get everything set up. (& there are videos online if you do need help!)Overall, I would definitely recommend this product! Thanks!!! 😊

So I just received this in the mail and I have to say it is VERY sturdy. The two bowls seem to be made of pretty durable metal and the feeder is super easy to set up! The instructions were clear, but even without them I feel confident I could have done it without them! It has the ability to feed 4 times a day and the storage compartment held almost a 5-pound bag of food! (The bag wasn't quite full but it held every bit of 4.5 pounds). Seems like this will be a great addition to my home and now I don't feel bad for leaving my kitties alone during the day or even on a weekend trip because I know between their water fountain, this feeder and their Litter Robot, they will have water, food and clean litter!
