I do not have any roof in my back porch area. I have a tarp up and needed something for the other side. I saw these and decided to give them a try. They came nicely packed. They are made of very sturdy metal and easy to assemble. I recommend these poles if you need to help hold something up.

These poles are quite sturdy, they have small spring clips in each section to hold them together. Use them to hold up an awning on a tent and they worked well.

The poles do their job and hold up the tarp I use - instead of a rainfly - quite well; not having the pieces connected via a small bungee cord came in surprisingly handy as I was able to drop the height of the tarp on the fly quickly and without issue on windy nights, which helped keep the tarp up.The storage bag needs extra stitching and/or a reinforced bottom; it barely lasted two weeks.

These seem nice & strong & even used them to hang a tapestry on my van with a blacklight. Very pleased.

I wanted heavy duty tent poles, wind in SW Florida can get rough, these aren't heavy duty

Bought 3 sets of these and they buckle, bend and break. Not sturdy.

Ordered just incase. Wound up needing them. Thinner than expected, but held up to the job.
