1200 wet and dry
Very course for 1200 grit, feels more like 800 to me, does the job though.

As expected
As expected, but can leave a trail of dark residue in use. Noticeable when used on plastic mouldings.

Beware of brittle backing
This wet/dry by Silverline is exactly as specified (400 grit) and it works as a 400 grit w/d.But its low price is clear mostly in the actual (waterproof) backing of the product. It is competitively brittle. This means that if you fold it one way then fold it 360 degrees the other way it will crack. This is great for creating pieces to fit a power-sander without needing scissors of craft knife, but this does not lend itself to using it by hand with liquid (+drop of soap) because the backing starts to break up. If you like your w/d to accommodate being used manually then pay for a more expensive brand of w/d.For the price it will work but not for long....

Good, but not especially fine.
First up the good stuff, this is great value, and the paper looks pretty good. It came next day, so very convenient. Now the bad stuff: This particular Amazon page description doesn't say that it's 1200 grit (thankfully other reviews do). Weirdly though, even though it says "1200" on the back, it's rougher than some P600 I got in a mixed set from Robert Dyas. It's finer than the Silverline 600 grit, but still much rougher than I expected. I'm working with glass, and this stuff definitely 'clouds' glass rather than polishing it.All that said, whilst it's not going to work on the job I wanted it for, it's plenty good enough for a "between coats" sanding, or other fine-ish work.

Good value
Arrived on time and well.It is very good value and it does what it is meant to do - it's an abrasive cloth, what else can I say?
