I bought it as birthday gift for my partner who loves viking culture and movies but doesn't know much about their believes. He's not a fan of reading but he wouldn't stop reading this one and telling me all about Norse mythology. I've read Norse mythology by Neil Gaiman and was surprised by some of the facts from this book.

I’m a huge fan of pre Christian mythology particularly European. The book is fairly short but it provides a great base for learning about the foundations of Norse belief systems and gives great insights into the the deeper meanings behind the stories and how they stand the test of time to explaining continual archetypes that transfer into the modern world. I really enjoyed reading it and it provides some great information for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge on the subject.
