No fuss, bargain 4K TV
I was sceptical about a 43" TV for around £200. However, with good reviews and Amazon's free returns policy, I thought I'd give it a go. I've been very impressed overall given the price point.Pros:- Easy to attach stand and set up, even for one person- Good, clear picture with Dolby Vision. Lots of settings to play around with to refine the picture.- I haven't delved too far into the VIDAA operating system as I use a Firestick but it seems fine.- I have also used a soundbar from day one, but a quick test suggests the TV built-in sound is passable.- Freeview works fine and you have the option to record shows on a memory stick. (I was considering a Fire TV but there were a few negative reviews about watching live TV via Freeview, such as slow channel changes etc)Cons:- There is noticeable motion blurring if anything on the screen is racing about, but I think this is a reasonable compromise for the price- Dialogue and picture sometimes go slightly out of sync and I can't find a way to fix it. I think this is an issue with the Firestick/soundbar/TV connection which is managed by the TV. However, it isn't so pronounced as to be unbearable.- The TV seems keen to gather data on your viewing habits (as do most smart TVs). Search online about how to turn this off, if it concerns you.Overall this is a no-fuss, budget TV that works well.

So Good I Got Another
Having been the kind of person who always buys from major brands when it comes to electronics, I have been blown away by this TV. First, let me tell you what happened...I had an LG 42 inch 4K HDR TV in my bedroom. However, like many Brits I love my dog and it takes advantage of me. Therefore, we play every morning on my bed. One day she got too excited and her strong tail whacked the TV causing irreperable damage. Nightmare. Here I was thinking it was going to cost a fortune to replace a higher tier big brand TV. However, I remembered how good the image quality was on the Hisense I got for my dad. So I checked for a few on here and decided on this since funds are low at the moment. It arrived and I set it up in the bedroom as expected. Straight away, even the packaging is impressive. The box is very strong and the wrapping perfectly protects the TV. Then I had to configure it when I switched it on which is always my most irritating feature. How wrong I was. Configuration is a breeze, and the built-in Vidaa OS is fast and responsive. You can skip the config entirely if you want, which is even quicker. If you don't need smart TV features, (which I don't since I have Sky), your TV is ready in no time. I suspect if this was a Samsung or Sony I would have had to provide tons of personal data and be at it for 45 minutes. Then came the settings. I'm one of those people who actually enjoys playing with settings, finding the best colour, brightness and contrast etc. However, I can honestly say that this is the first time ever that I haven't had to change anything. Really, it is perfect right out of the box! I've never seen that before.Suffice it to say, I was so impressed with this TV that I got rid of my 32 inch LG 4K monitor that I use for work and gaming, and replaced it with one of these. The HDR is incredible for gaming and looks excellent on Xbox and PS5. However, it looks awful on Windows 11 but that's because, well, Windows 11! Yet you can just turn HDR off on Windows and the image looks incredibe. On Dot to Dot aspect ratio it is better than my old monitor and doesn't even hurt my eyes. However, I have ordered a keyboard desk extender to sit back a little further for comfort.I can't recommend this TV enough and it is incredible value for money. Please don't overlook it becuse it isn't a massive brand. Hisense TVs are now excellent quality and have come a long way in recent years.

Picture quality is great.
31/08/2024 Important update:Very annoying issue popped up in the last couple of days. Turned the tv on and all the Apps were gone! It appears it’s better to turn off all cookies and clear the cashe then if that doesn’t work do a factory reset and refuse all cookies of any sort otherwise it will happen again and very annoying it is, so keep your passwords handy cos you’ll need them. Imagine the scene, not feeling well and want to watch tv in bed, only to find the tv won’t turn on or even worse turns itself off without any input from the user! So the hunt was on for a replacement and after many hours of searching on tinternet I decided this Hisense was the one. Okay it was bigger than I wanted, 32 inch suited but 43 inch was the only 4K option. Does it fit the bill ! By the Lord Harry it does. What a cracking price, what a terrific picture. Was it easy to set up! No not really 🤔 I spent ages looking for the manual only to find you have to go into the settings menu and click E-Manual by which time I’d almost worked out how to use the TV anyway. Then spent hours trying to find a way to turn off ‘Demo Mode’ because every 10 minutes it turned itself on to that !! I could go on about how silly the system is for the first time user but even I would fall asleep so instead I’ll deal with just the salient points. Basic setup speed upon powering up was fast, not easy, but fast, I found the remote control confusing 🫤 the depth of colour was astonishing compared to my previous HD TV, connectivity was super easy as I only had an aerial lead and a power lead to deal with. Edge to edge screen is nice and this thing weighs as much or less than one of my arms😳 Have I mastered the remote! Er almost but I have only had the tv a day and I don’t watch tv in bed all day. Is the sound good? Well it’s not cinema quality but perfectly good for the bedroom. Are the apps easy to access? Well once you have mastered the remote yeah pretty much. I’ve only been able to locate basic volume up or down and came across a EQ adjustment which I’ve not used yet. Can’t find anyway to alter colour, contrast or brightness but if I’m honest I don’t think I need to. I liked that I was able to plug my satellite cable in as well as the normal aerial. So all in all I’m a happy bunny at this moment in time and again what a cracking price for a 4K TV
